Kudos to Jennifer Tucker and everyone at the Center for the Study of Guns and Society at Wesleyan University for gathering such a wonderful group of researchers for their second annual conference on the history of guns and society. It was a rich and exciting two days of discussion on the current use of history in firearms laws, the evolution of the technology and lethality of firearms, and the place of guns in American visual culture.

Wish I could have been there! I just finished serving on a jury where it became obvious to us on the jury that some of the gun laws are pretty messed up and not well thought out.
