Therapists, over the last couple of months, I've noticed some trends emerging in my clinical practice. Here are some questions from clients, paraphrased in my own words... Aging and Search for Fulfillment: "What does success look like if the conventional ways I was taught to define it are not accessible to me or do not align with my values?" Evolving Relationships and Exploring Sexuality: "How do I deepen and expand my levels of intimacy with my relationships, and how else can I experience affection?" Employment and Financial Concerns: "How can I navigate future decisions when faced with significant uncertainty, particularly regarding finances?" Grieving Old Friendships: "What does continuing to live my life look like without some of the friends I've known for years no longer being accessible?" Advocacy and Existentialism: "What is my role and responsibility in being an ally and advocating for what I think is right, whether in my community or internationally?" Identity, Boundaries, Communication: "How should I navigate sharing what I'm learning about my mental health later in life, understanding my diagnoses, and requesting accommodations?" What are you noticing in yours? #mentalhealth #therapy #privatepractice #mentalhealtheducation
