If you're working with Cilium on Docker Desktop and Minikube, here's a tip: hold off on upgrading to the latest version of docker-desktop. The latest versions of Docker Desktop seem to have compatibility issues with Cilium and I found that reverting to Docker Desktop v4.25.2 resolved these issues. For a detailed discussion and to stay updated on this issue, check out the ongoing thread on GitHub: Minikube Issue #17780.

I don't know who needs to hear this... But when using the colima open source docker container runtime for MacOS (because one doesn't want to use Docker Desktop), the Docker Context will be different than with a normal Docker session. This means Terraform (or something similar) won't be able connect to the Docker server unless one passes in the .sock directory to the provider declaration. Find the context with `docker context ls` then pass the `Docker Endpoint` value for the colima named context to the provider declaration using host = "unix:///path/to/your/docker.sock". Happy avoiding Docker Desktop! I used colima in Zach Wilson's bootcamp. Yes, yes, I know I am stretching. #docker #colima #atleastitsnot30otherpeople

Why Docker is Superfast: Unveiling the Inner Workings Ever wondered why Docker is so fast? 🤔 Here's the scoop in simple terms: 1. Process ID Magic: Docker links processes seamlessly, making it super efficient. Think of it as connecting the dots between your app and the system. 2. Container = Process: Docker isn't a new operating system; it's a speedy process Kickstarter. Start, stop a process, and voila, Docker responds instantly! 3. Nested Process Power: When you launch a Docker container, it's like unlocking a process treasure chest. Everything connects smoothly, thanks to Linux kernel magic. In a nutshell, Docker's speed is all about cleverly connecting the tech dots. As a beginner in Docker, I didn't pay attention to disposing off unused or dangling Docker images created by me in the past. My system ran out of space & I wondered how ? Run this command: docker system prune -a If you need admin privileges, run this instead: sudo docker system prune -a PS: I reclaimed around 250 GB Space
