Wong, ML Engineering Manager Abigail Shchur, and Staff Software Engineer Lonni Ingram. Next, we mingled with more than 30 external women in software engineering and 15 Snoos from #SLT and our Employee Resource Group, Women Eng. The goal of this event is to build long-term connections with communities we'd like to see represented more strongly here at Reddit and create opportunities for these folks to learn about our company culture and available job openings. This year, our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging team hosted a #Juneteenth event out of Reddit's LA office. The event's programming ranged from Alyce Smith Cooper's historical oration to spoken word poetry and African dance performances. Members of our Employee Resource Group, Black People Reddit, flew in from around the country to join in on this block party-style celebration, and local Snoos came ready to learn more about this important holiday and experience Black cultural traditions.
