The Semiconductor Technology Pilot Program is a new initiative developed by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (#USPTO) to support the CHIPS for America Act. The program aims to encourage research, development, and innovation in semiconductor manufacturing. The CHIPS for America Act is a bipartisan bill that aims to invigorate domestic semiconductor production by securing $22 billion to create a plethora of programs bolstering U.S. competitiveness in the space. The bill was proposed by U.S. Senator Mark R. Warner (D-VA) and Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) and faces a House vote prior to moving forward. The U.S. semiconductor industry employs roughly 250,000 people. https://lnkd.in/g5VjyMmn #SEEDST #ICchip #chipsact #electroniccomponents #Semiconductorindustry #electronics #semiconductor #supplychain #manufacturingtechnology #processtechnology #engineering #manufacturing #technology #computerchips #business #innovation #semiconductors #chips #chipmaker #foundry

India's Semiconductor Industry Thrives with national-phase PCT Filing Future for the semiconductor business in India, aligns with several factors that have been influencing the semiconductor industry's landscape. The recent trend of national-phase PCT filing data is proving this notion. In the last four years, the Indian Patent Office has received 434 such applications. The semiconductor industry is crucial for various applications, including electronics, telecommunications, automotive, and more. India has been actively working to attract foreign investment and businesses, including in the semiconductor sector. Filing a national-phase PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) application in India is one way for foreign companies to protect their intellectual property rights in the country. The PCT system allows applicants to seek patent protection simultaneously in multiple countries by filing a single international application. Einfolge Technologies conducted a brief study to understand the current trend in patent filings for semiconductor-related innovations in India. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the current landscape, we considered checking the latest statistics from the Indian Patent Office.
