It is no surprise that we live in a world where #images can be easily manipulated... almost too easily. Therefore, it is crucial to sharpen our ability to discern real from fake. Amid recent allegations of manipulated images, particularly one involving an official photograph of the Princess of Wales, the need to spot altered images has never been more pressing. This article from BBC outlines key clues to identify manipulated or #AI-generated images, such as abnormalities in lighting, reflections, shadows, and unusual positioning of features like hands and ears. Additionally, examining image metadata and identifying unique errors in image noise can help in verification. With sophisticated technology making it increasingly difficult to distinguish between real and fake images, staying vigilant and informed is essential. Animation is breathtaking. Animation in 2023, in my opinion, is a direct part of branding. It helps convey a brand's character, establish strong communication and deliver meaning. And of course, it always stops the eye. Using animation = memorable 👀🌟 // fresh work visuelle

We all face parts of our work that are more challenging than others (i.e. that are just plain hard to do!). For most artists - in all fields - writing an "artist statement" seems to be pretty high up there on the pain threshold. Yet, these statements cannot be avoided when applying for grants, residencies, calls, and other programs. Like many artists, I find them difficult to write; for many reasons, I am genuinely ambivalent about their usefulness and how they tend to flatten and limit meaning. But, there is also real value in having to articulate what one is trying to make. I was delighted to sit down with Polly Gaillard, the excellent Program Director of Photolucida to talk through ways of simplifying this daunting task. (Especially since Photolucida's industry-leading open call Critical Mass is just around the corner!) I love to help people tell the story only they can tell. Our conversation points the way to best navigate this complex question. #creative #storytelling #artists #creativethinkers #stories #photography #grants #funding #bestpractice https://lnkd.in/eyqzaC7u
