📢 Employers call for urgent tax and skills reforms in next Government’s first 100 Days! 📢 As the General Election wraps up, employers are making their voices heard loud and clear. A recent REC/Savanta survey reveals the top priorities they demand from the incoming government: 🔹 Cut Business Taxes: Nearly a quarter (24%) say reducing business taxes is essential to boost investment and drive economic growth. 🔹Reform the Skills System: 20% emphasise the need to overhaul the skills system, including the Apprenticeship Levy, to enhance training for all workers, especially temporary workers. Kate Shoesmith, REC Deputy Chief Executive, states, “Employers are ready to invest and hire, but economic uncertainty holds them back. The next government must focus on tax cuts, effective industrial strategies, and realistic skills policies to unlock greater investment and job creation.” With over 1.7 million job postings in the UK, it’s time to enable high-quality, modular training through Apprenticeship Levy reforms, benefiting both permanent and temporary workers. Let's push for an economy that works for everyone! Read more here: https://bit.ly/45NuGv0 #Election2024 #TaxReform #SkillsReform #EconomicGrowth #REC
