Earlier this month we gathered Miro customers at the iconic Sydney Opera House for “The Innovation Imperative" where we unveiled our latest global innovation research. The results for Australia were particularly revealing, pinpointing some significant innovation roadblocks for organisations here. A few standouts: 💡 98% of leaders say innovation is urgent, yet 54% here think it should be paused until the economy is more stable. ⏰ 82% of leaders feel the urgency for innovation has increased compared to a few years ago. However, 57% in Australia view it as more of a luxury than a necessity right now. 😱 42% of information workers in Australia report that their leaders don’t discuss the company’s innovation strategy with them. And 4 in 10 reported not even knowing the strategy. It seems Australians are excellent at adopting innovate new products and services but quite gun-shy on creating them.
