Thank you, Clean Creatives.
Everything you post is exactly why I left working for agencies and started my own brand business decades ago. I’ve spent the past decade committed to researching ways we can re-align our thinking with the natural world. I am so thrilled to witness a mindset shift happening like this!
Brand firms need to learn how to work with integrity, meaning authentically align their thinking and strategy grounded in reality of what truly is in their best interests, which is the best interests for all involved. This means first and foremost, the natural world which provides the resources that allow a business to even exist. The only smart, responsible strategy is one where earth is considered the primary stakeholder, and is ground zero for any next big idea, product, concept, or promotion. (Recall Jurassic Park - we always go to straight to “we could” rather than asking if “we should?”). Group-think has led to only asking the “shoulds” from a very narrow lens, stuck in linear data and human-centric thinking. It’s time to expand into the reality of the broader, more circular lens.
Anything else lacks integrity and the spreadsheets and data are now abundantly clear, it’s actually fiscally irresponsible and unsustainable business strategy to exclude earth as primary stakeholder. Aligning strategy authentically with the primary source that makes all goods and services possible simply makes sense: it protects a business’s overall sustainability and security, protects all human beings involved: their shareholders, their clients, their employees, and the customers they are working so hard to “attract” - ALL are needed to even exist.
It just makes sense.
Enough with the senselessness!
🎬 “It’s just crazy that agencies are working with brands like this because these are the stories they’re paying you to tell. You’re not part of the solution. This isn’t going to help.”
