Navigating PTSD, DID, and Depression but thriving! Committed to advocating for lived experiences, driving positive change. Opinions my own in chemicals and context, in a moment in time. Regrets? Yeah, had a few!
Here i talk about my unease with the term "system" how the term is used to prop up the people who profit from it. i focus on individual responsibility.
i finished with an extract from Milton Friedman.

Dr. Steven Hassan w/ Daniel Greenberg and the Foundation for Intentional Community: Cults Explained
Dr. Steven Hassan - Cult Expert
May 7, 2024
In this webinar, which took place on Saturday, May 4th, Steven joins host Daniel Greenberg of the Foundation for Intentional Community to discuss what a cult is, how we define them, how they operate, and how to support those who have joined.
_____
Thank you to someone I consider a friend, mental health professional and cult expert Steven Hassan, PhD. Dr Hassan has been very supportive to me personally, and I am very grateful. Dr Hassan is a wealth of information on the topic of how cults radicalize people to join them, and how they can be de-radicalized to get them out of groups which do not have their best interests at heart. Dr Hassan joined the moonies when he was in college but fortunately his father was very supportive and helped him get out of the cult several years later.
Dr Hassan wrote a book titled "The Cult of Trump" which you can purchase on Amazon. He helps Trump supporters get out of the cult of Trump if they ask for help. Dr. Hassan is a very kind empathic person, and he will not shame any Trump supporter who asks for help. Dr Hassan has numerous talks on multiple topics related to this issue on his YouTube channel. I have listened to all of them. Highly recommended.
I also completed a course titled "Understanding Cults: A Foundational Course." This is a foundational course to understanding cults, brainwashing, thought reform, mind control, and undue influence.
which is offered on his website. He also has trainings with CEU units available for mental health professionals. I will post the course I completed in the comments section.

Racial healing plays a critical role in our journey toward a country where everyone has a fair shot at wellbeing.
This #WellbeingWednesday we're highlighting a TED Talk from Dr. Gail Christopher. Our historical belief in a hierarchy of human value forms the underpinning of racism in our country. Dr. Christopher argues that we must end the false belief in this hierarchy in order to pave the way for healing, empathy and action towards a future where everyone can thrive. A must-watch TED Talk for anyone passionate about shifting narratives to foster racial equity and healing.

Besides her work as CEO of a growing health clinic, she also lives on a farm with her husband, and loves spending time with her family including 5 kids and 9 grandchildren.
Listen to her uplifting story about one of her patients who participated in One Cross Clinic addiction and recovery program. He went from being homeless to being able to tap into his potential and overcome his addiction. He is now helping others.
