Celebrating Our Team: Beyond Just a Day of Appreciation At Green Leaf Construction, we believe in the power of appreciation. Recognizing the hard work, dedication, and passion of our employees shouldn’t be confined to just one day. It’s a practice that we embed into our everyday culture, ensuring our team feels valued and celebrated for their contributions throughout the year. This year, we’re taking our appreciation a step further by dedicating an entire week to celebrate our incredible team. We’re kicking off the week with something sweet and communal - a Waffle Bar on Tuesday! It’s a chance for everyone to come together, enjoy delicious waffles with their favorite toppings, and start the day with smiles and energy. But why stop there? We’re keeping the momentum going with a daily raffle for five consecutive days. Prizes will vary each day, ensuring that the excitement remains high throughout the week. It’s our way of saying thank you, a small gesture to acknowledge the big impact each employee has on our success. Our commitment to employee appreciation is not just about these events. It’s about creating an environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported every single day. We’re proud to have built a culture where appreciation is part of our DNA, and we’re excited to continue celebrating our team not just this week, but every week. Thank you to all our employees for everything you do. Here’s to you! #EmployeeAppreciation #ThankYou #TeamCelebration #WorkplaceCulture

Chief Marketing Officer at BaseN | Creative Storyteller | Championing Digital Twins for Financial and Planetary Sustainability 🌎
Yesterday we officially sent off Nghi Dang to her new adventures in style. Our team shares a wicked sense of humor so this attire was an absolute must, especially since this was our reaction when we heard the news. 😂 Everyone talks about onboarding journeys and employee roadmaps (especially me since they are so important) but what about departing journeys? Eventually they could be the most important ones because it’s such an exciting step to take for employees! Leaving one safe haven for a new adventure. So what I, with this recent opportunity, started to do is creating an experience for those who are leaving my team. It’s the chance to show how valued they were by the team and the entire company. Plus adding in that team-specific humor that everyone shared over the past years just makes it fun for everyone to let someone go. And why stop at the last official work day. We didn’t. We hijacked Nghi out of her new work to join our local team’s Christmas dinner which now served also as our opportunity to personally wish her all the best, reminiscence together in happy memories, celebrate all the team and individual successes, and to simply enjoy each others company in this oh so familiar team one last time (for now…we will continue also in the future to share some updates and laughs among us). Happy experiences! Happy Christmas season! Any ideas what WTF could stand for apart from the obvious? Comment! I go first - WTF - why the fries? 🍟 First thing that came to my mind, Juudit Ojansivu, I wonder why... #teamspirit #newjob #teamleadership #experiencedesign

Today is April 1st, and we’re not celebrating April Fools’ Day. We’re wishing everyone a happy International Fun At Work Day! We may not always have fun at work, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. In fact, it is very possible and beneficial for employees and the company. Creating a positive work environment and fun activities/events improves employee satisfaction and their attitudes toward work, and reduces stress. This also gives us an opportunity to connect with our employees and build stronger relationships. So have a party, start a squirt gun battle (preferably outside the office), host a trivia lunch hour, or do anything you and your employees would love to do. And don’t forget… Have fun out there! #HR #EmployeeSatisfaction

Creating the Future of Work | Public Speaker | Helping companies Attract, Engage and Retain the best people around 🚀
I’m going to clear up some very big misconceptions about what my Employee Experience business does. To this day, people STILL come to me and say: ‘you do EX. Can you throw me a party?’ 🤦♀️ No. I can’t. Because I don’t work in facilities. I’m not here to: - Look after your laptops - Organise you an Easter egg hunt - Put a buffet out on Thursdays - Arrange an off-site I get the confusion: that *is* in some way Employee Experience, but it’s more environmental than anything else. So what DO I do? ✅ Ensure employees have a safe space to learn and earn ✅ Ensure companies are well equipped to cater for their people ✅ Ensure management are sufficiently trained to handle their role ✅ Ensure companies are in line with industry standards when it comes to pay and benefits ✅ Ensure company culture is spot-on and in alignment with the people you want to retain and attract So, you are welcome to reach out if any of that sounds of interest… But no, I am not going to organise your summer bash.

How our team applies Learning and Development to our own work life Good afternoon, Network! As we draw closer to the end of the year, I wanted to take this opportunity to remember that Learning and Development is more than just something we deliver to the business, but something we have dedicated time to do for ourselves as a team. This summer has been a time of growth for the L&D team. We have taken more opportunities to put our heads together, looking at how to grow as a unit. Our brainstorming sessions and quarterly, L&D- focused town halls create a real sense of community in the team, giving us an opportunity to learn from one another and keep up to date on L&D projects we are working on. Along with this, our monthly afternoon tea catchups provide a chance to come together as peers, taking time to check in outside of the range of big projects we all deal with separately. Health is wealth, and just as key to our success! In L&D, I feel lucky to be around a group of very talented people who drive me to continuously Learn and Develop myself, both as a team member and as an individual. It’s more than just about pushing people forward; it’s about lifting one another up. It’s a team I always want to be a good player for! Being an employer in New Orleans is a unique experience, including the challenge of managing your team during the carnival season. Whether you have incountered employees running late or leaving early because of parade traffic, or showing up hungover / not at all, here are some practical tips to minimize employee-related Mardi Gras hiccups and keep the good times rolling: 1. Review Attendance and Time-Off Policies: Send a friendly reminder about procedures for tardiness and potential consequences. 2. Clarify designated holidays and emphasize the use of Vacation/PTO days for additional time off. 3. Establish Clear Policies on Employee Performance: Define your company's stance on sending employees home due to inability to perform their duties. Communicate how this may impact their pay. 4. Social Media Reminders: Reinforce social media policies to maintain professionalism online. Encourage employees to be mindful of public posts during the festive season. 5. Embrace the Carnival Spirit: If possible, close the office early, organize your own parade, or create a festive atmosphere by playing Mardi Gras tunes. The more you embrace the season, the smoother the ride. Remember, Mardi Gras is a time to celebrate and enjoy the unique culture of New Orleans. By being flexible, understanding, and proactive, you can turn potential challenges into opportunities for team bonding and a memorable carnival season.
