Founder & ShEO, Slay Media | Ink to Impact: A Writer who journeyed into Entrepreneurship | Building for India 🇮🇳
Today, LinkedIn asked me this: Whether it’s a friend, mentor, or even yourself - who do you celebrate this #IWD24? My Answer: my thoughts immediately turned to the remarkable women who embody strength, kindness, and empowerment in their actions and interactions. Here's to those women who: 1. Have the courage to advocate for themselves and work tirelessly to create an environment where their aspirations are acknowledged and respected. 2. Choose to break the cycle of negativity and instead cultivate a culture of kindness and support within their circles, fostering an atmosphere where everyone can thrive. 3. Embrace diversity and honor individual choices, regardless of societal norms or expectations, recognizing the beauty and strength in embracing authenticity. Above all, I celebrate and deeply appreciate those women who uplift and empower each other, recognizing that success is not a solo journey but a collective effort. 🌹

Celebrating Women's History Month NFP's Spotlight Featuring: Naiemah Swinton Title: Sr. Benefits Coordinator Region: Northeast What Inspires Me Personally and Professionally - "I am most inspired by my peers. Seeing my friends, even strangers, my age pursuing their dreams, taking risks, and accomplishing their goals is awe-inspiring. It gives me the courage to at the very least try, and when I say try, I mean anything! You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. I would rather make an attempt and fail than to never have tried at all." I think one of the most important ways I’ve been able to advocate for these things is by showing up and being my most authentic self. It does not serve me or my colleagues to alter who I am to fit in the boxes that society has designated for me. By being me and sharing my experiences that may differ from others, it encourages those that look like me to do the same, unapologetically. #NFP #womenshistorymonth #herstory #insuranceindustry

Happy #SuperBowl 🏈 #SwiftieBowl 🥰 How should brands and the #NFL engage women this Super Bowl? I think we need to analyze the #brand the National Football League (NFL) When you think of the NFL what comes to mind? 🏋️♂️ strong men 📈 competition 🥳 the Super Bowl spectacle including the ads What’s missing? Women. That’s a major issue. Why? Because there are over 168 million Americans that identify as women and over 80 percent of purchases and purchase influence are made by women. These statistics reveal a truth that should have companies reevaluating their marketing strategey. Women have power and influence over spending but are brands crafting messages in empowering and inclusive ways? This Super Bowl is being rebranded the Swiftie Bowl due to #TaylorSwift’s relationship with Travis Kelcie but I wonder how brands will address women’s relationship to money, power, respect (the key to life Lil Kim implored us to reckon with). The NFL does a wonderful job of weaving a cast of characters that highlight #equity for women and #Black people in their revaltory new documentary You Are Looking Live which highlights the amazing careers of Phyllis George and Jayne Kennedy who are also featured in this touchdown dance of a post by The Female Quotient I love this post shows because it shows that women can thrive anywhere and by any means if there is a crack in the door way she’s making her way down the hallway into the board room! As we watch the Super Bowl and it’s ads tonight, I wonder what you see regarding #InclusiveMarketing and #BrandSafety Comment below ⬇️ #marketing #advertising #IfYouCanSeeItYouCanBeIt #LeadByExample #RaiseHerProfile #FutureFixer #SuperBowlLVIII
They came, they commentated, coached, and championed—and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. Over the years, women have cemented their positions in #NFL history and this weekend, we’re celebrating them! #SuperBowlLVIII

CEO, The CMOOR Group | Executive Director, WBFAA | Women in Security Forum Power 100 Honoree | STEM Mentor | Lifelong Learner | Keeping security pros legal with licensing, compliance management, and CEUs.
Being included in the inaugural Power 100 list was and is one of the highlights of my career in the industry. It has nothing to do with recognition, but much more so the award speaks significantly to inclusivity, respect and acknowledgment. Women are not traditionally comfortable with receiving kudos. We are taught early on that patting ourselves on the back is forbidden. We are better servants of others than ourselves. It could come down to our own self worth and certainly no one wants to be seen as a narcissist. But we ALL need to own our achievements. It’s important for women to give themselves and other women credit when it’s due. It can feel like saying “thank you” means, “Yes, I know I’m awesome.” But in fact by not accepting their compliment you are sending a message that says, “I don’t value your input enough to take it seriously.” What honors like the SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100 do is not only create opportunities for women to be recognized in their field, but it also is opens up at least 100 chances for honorees to say “thank you” and own their self worth! #wisf #fierce #womeninsecurity
📢 Nominations are open for the 2024 SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100! Now in its third year, this annual initiative, presented by #WISF, honors 100 women in the security industry whose outstanding accomplishments and success stories are breaking barriers, redefining the faces of leadership and showcasing the innovative contributions women bring to the #securityindustry. Nominations are due Jan. 31; learn more and submit a nomination at the link in the comments! #WISFPower100 #WomenInSecurity Security Industry Association (SIA)
