“How did you make the jump from corporate to startup?” This is something I get asked a LOT, especially from young entrepreneurs. For me, the decision to transition was driven by a passion for innovation, a desire for autonomy, and a willingness to take calculated risks. I immersed myself in the startup ecosystem, sought knowledge and mentorship, and conducted thorough research. Here are the steps I took: - Immersion: I spoke to anyone and everyone who had the time to share their stories. A walk, a coffee, a beer - whatever opportunity came along, I took it. - Mentorship: I sought guidance from experienced individuals in the startup world.  - Research: I did lots of research to really understand the landscape and potential challenges. And some advice for those thinking about making the leap: 1. Embrace Discomfort and Uncertainty: The startup world is unpredictable. Think about whether this is something you can tolerate. 2. Build a Supportive Network: Surround yourself with mentors and peers who can offer guidance and support. 3. Stay Agile and Keep Learning: The ability to adapt and continuously learn is crucial. For those of you who have already made this transition, what advice would you give? A big thank you to all my mentors and guides over the years, including Brian Stones, @Kasper Rorsted, Lawrence Steingold, Bob C., angel algarra, Pany Christoforou, David Brodsky, Joel Katz, Bob Robinson, Naresh Asnani, Sunil Mohinani, jitin mahbubani, Sonu Shewakramani, Vasim Haq #StartupJourney #FounderSkills #StrategicPlanning #FinancialManagement #EntrepreneurLife #Leadership
