Our question today, Q’uo, concerns activism. On one hand, we have statements from Ra like this one from 34.9 where they say: “There are some few whose desires to aid society are of a green ray nature or above. These entities, however, are few, due to the understanding, may we say, of fourth ray, that the universal love freely given is more to be desired than principalities or even the rearrangement of peoples or political structures.” We also have reminders from the Confederation that the most powerful and fundamental service is one of being, not doing. That is, the radiation of realization of oneness with the Creator. On the other hand, we hear from voices like Martin Luther King, Jr. and others studying oppression that, in a societal body, silence and non-resistance is tantamount to tacit support of unjust or perhaps even tyrannical policy. Can you please speak to these seemingly competing ideas and how the seeker who wants to contribute positively to creating a positive society can be of the greatest service?

According to www.lausanne.org, the large majority of missionaries tend to focus on locations that are already considered reached or developed, where the population may already be familiar with or practicing Christianity. This highlights the imbalance in missionary efforts, as endeavours are concentrated on areas that are less challenging. This is why, at Rophe Global, we answer the call to the unreached - where the need is greatest. Join us in shifting the balance and making an impact where it truly matters. www.ropheglobal.com #Evangelism #MedicalOutreach #RopheGlobal

Each MLK Day, my children and I honor Dr. King’s legacy by immersing ourselves in his profound speeches. ‘The Mountain Top’ reminds us to stand for freedom, regardless of whose freedoms are at stake, and instills hope to persevere despite our circumstances. ‘I Have a Dream’ paints a picture of America’s ideal future and urges us to hold our leaders accountable to the nation’s founding promises. ‘The Other America’ implores us to reject inequality in all its forms. Lastly, ‘Three Evils’ identifies peace, equality, and equity as the antidotes to: 🔸poverty 🔸racism 🔸militarism I’m continually inspired by my children’s grasp of these complex themes of love 🖤 , peace ☮ , and equality ⚖ . If it’s been a while since you’ve heard these speeches by MLK Jr., I encourage you to revisit them. They have the power to nourish our spirits. #MLKDay #HappyMLKDay

On June 17, 2021, the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act was signed into law, recognizing Juneteenth as a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, the day that news of slavery's end reached enslaved people in Texas and other states in the Southwest, formalizing their emancipation after the Civil War ended. This was two years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is the 11th federal holiday and the first new federal holiday since former President Ronald Reagan signed the King Holiday Bill in 1983, honoring civil rights hero Martin Luther King Jr. As we honor Juneteenth, we celebrate diversity, equality, and inclusion, reflecting on our history and committing to a future of unity and progress. #Juneteenth #Diversity #Equality #Inclusion #Leadership #GAWDA #AIWD #NAW #CGA #IWDC #NationalAssociationofWholesalerDistributors #CompressedGasAssociation

Juneteenth has become the most well-known celebration for the ending of slavery in the United States. In fact, it is viewed by some as America’s second Independence Day. The history of this important celebration is complex and often misunderstood. #Juneteenth isn’t a straightforward story of emancipation, nor did it necessarily improve conditions in short order, or across the country. Freedom was not a straight line from the Emancipation Proclamation to Juneteenth to the Civil Rights movement. In fact, there's around 100 yrs between the Revolutionary War, Juneteenth, and MLK. Individuals had to fight for every piece of freedom they experienced and the struggle for justice that started long before the war did not end with emancipation. Today, we celebrate #freedom, #perseverance, and the value of people. May we each recogize where injustice exists and champion the oppressed.
