Taking a moment to check in with ourselves and others can make all the difference. Here are a few simple ways to cope and nurture your mental well-being: Practice mindfulness: Take a few minutes each day to focus on your breathing or engage in a mindfulness exercise to center yourself. When things get into overwhelm, what do you do? First take time out... Practice grounding yourself, breathe, relax, let your shoulders drop. Listen to the sounds of your breathing, listen to the sounds around you... feel the tension leave your body, and you can return to calm... Now practice mindfulness, and work out your next response and action to the issues pressing in... then return to the office and calmly state your next course of action... go you!
