Main takeaway from day 1 of Startup Grind: No one has it figured out on day 1… Hearing from Jack Altman talk about how he continued to make iterations and improvements to Lattice’s initial offering over time really highlighted the perspective of patience at speed. It’s a constant process of listening to your customers, deeply, and then building to those needs. We often have a vision of what our offering can be, but Rome wasn’t built in a day and it takes an army. It takes a really long time to build something great. Inspired to learn from those who have done it before and the learnings within each unique founder journey. #startupgrind

The first questions I ask potential investors interested in my studio offerings is, do you understand what a startup studio is, how they work and what they do? Most think that they have an idea, but when you get down to it, they have no idea. They think that it's an incubator or consulting or providing services for equity. When I hit them with the movie analogy and how Universal Studios is the startup studio and how movies get made with all of the players involved, they finally get it.
