Check out the SunZia project - America’s largest renewable energy project! ⚡️
NEW VIDEO What does it take to build America’s largest renewable project ever? We visited Blattner in the New Mexico desert to find out. Apparently, wind turbine construction requires more than planting wind turbine seeds and waiting. To build the 900+ new turbines that will eventually generate 3,500 megawatts of power for America’s southwest, Blattner crews are digging holes, tying rebar, and pouring nearly 500,000 yards of concrete to form all the bases. Once they dig, pour, cure, and backfill each base, they must connect each with power and fiber lines. Then, everything goes vertical. This guy makes awesome videos.
Wow this is amazing!
Semi Retired at Electrician at Home, so lots of different thing
1wI am still asking those that know, your GC is doing 900 complete systems! Connecting power, control and surely building several substations! Even transmission lines and a grid connect! So what is the total cost purchase, shipping, cranes and everything else? Even divide it by 900 so we little people can get an idea of what the cost of 3,500 megawatts of grid power cost! I am trying to be realistic with how much it actually cost for that much free electricity
