Modern #medicalrecords are quite complex - growing not only in complexity, but in volume. The need in the #healthcareindustry to transfer data in real-time with dramatically improve #patientcare. Health Level Seven (#HL7) organization specifies how to transfer #healthcaredata, it does not specify how it should be stored or rendered. That means that while hospital A may transfer data to hospital B in an HL7-specified manner, it does not mean that both need to store that data or present that data to users in the same way. Check out our latest blog as we delve into how a medical record is structured under specifically the #CCDA (HL7 v3) and #FHIR (R4) structures, how they are meant to be structured, and differences in practice versus reality. #healthcareAI #dataexchange #qualityNLP #HEDIS #riskNLP #machinelearning #purposebuilt

Machine learning can transform the healthcare industry and more importantly improve patient outcomes. It can also bring a lot of challenges including data privacy and security, data quality, regulations, and bias. As an optimist I believe we need to focus on the potential benefits to gain momentum and the necessary proof.

"While early in development, AI has significant potential to reduce administrative waste and increase efficiency, with many government agencies and state legislators eager to adopt the new technology... While perhaps not entirely ready to be unleashed without supervision, AI continues to demonstrate rapid development and positive potential to significantly improve administrative processes in Medicaid and other health benefits programs, public and private. Policymakers must work together to harness and implement AI technologies in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Medicaid program. With over $1 trillion in administrative spending nationwide, now is certainly a good time to try." #aiautomation #aiadoption #ai #digitaltransformation #lowcodedevelopment https://lnkd.in/eivdvkYQ

Current new paradigms like Big Data influenced the healthcare field, revitalizing the idea of using machine learning techniques to create more adequate Decision Support Systems (DSS). In the process management field, health professionals aim to understand and trace care processes in order to formalize and optimize them, creating better clinical pathways that could support physicians in daily practice.
