🔊 From Noisy to Cozy - The Power of Acoustics Ever tried to focus but found the noise around you constantly breaking your concentration? You’re not alone! Harvard Business Review, Steelcase and Ipsos found that noisy workspaces are the biggest drain on morale and productivity. Employees lose 86 minutes per day (!) due to noise distractions. Effective workplace design prioritizes user well-being and productivity with acoustics that create serene environments. What Defines an Acoustic Room? ✅ Acoustic Walls (featuring sound-absorbing textures) ✅ Plants (not just for aesthetics; they significantly reduce noise) ✅ Carpet Floors (to dampen sound waves) ✅ Wooden Partition Ceilings (to minimize echoes and noise from above) Next time you find yourself in a noisy room, imagine how qbiq could transform it. Why is indirect light important for your workspace???? 1. This light is often projected upwards, this will enhance the feel of the space making ceilings feel higher. 2. Reflected light is has less glare meaning that the overall light is softer meaning the working environment is lit sufficiently without the annoyance of glare. 3. With upward projected light, the direct, downward light doesn't need to be as powerful, further reducing glare. 4. Direct/Indirect products spread the light more evenly, this reduces contrasts and can improve light uniformity. 5. The more even light provided reduces eye strain making for a more productive working environment. If you need a product that will fulfill the above in your spaces, please get in touch and we will provide you with the ideal product to enhance your application. #lighting #lightingdesign #lightingsolutions

Should we rename the ‘breakout space’? Hold on! The thing about semantics is the continuity We seem to bestow on objects * nouns * places for quite an arbitrary (logic?) Picture this question. Is the break out space important because we have Internalised it as such or because it actually is? Can redefining the concept {wording} of interior spaces open possibilities {creativity}? Perhaps inject meaning and more accomodating, alas thoughtful, resolution to the task of space planning hence to the all virtuous goal of work spaces: higher productivity? Focus on the break out space. Isn’t this ‘area’’s goal to MAKE us ? Not break us ? Forget about make out space, but can Mingling or ‘that breathing and getting away space’ be more realistic nowadays and help re-dimension the building blocks that makeup the office space? … and this is just an example out of many, in this beautiful endeavour called Workplace interiors Engineering. "Unlocking the Neurological Benefits of Glass Offices! 🌞 In a world where workspaces impact our well-being, let's delve into the neurology behind glass offices. Natural daylight streaming through frameless glass not only enhances the aesthetic but also boosts mood and cognitive function. Research suggests exposure to daylight positively influences circadian rhythms, promoting better sleep and overall well-being. Studies show that working in environments with abundant natural light fosters improved focus and productivity. The frameless glass design not only connects us with the outdoors but also creates a positive atmosphere that elevates our demeanor. Let's reimagine workspaces as more than just structures. They're catalysts for enhanced cognitive performance and a brighter, more productive mindset. 🔊According to The World Economic Forum, noise is still the biggest productivity killer in the workplace. Acoustics and noise reduction are not just about the practicalities of needing quiet to concentrate, they also have a powerful impact on our wellbeing and our quality of life. We live in a world that can stimulate our senses in a variety of ways.👂 With so much noise present in our daily lives, it’s vital to understand how the acoustics of a workspace influence our ability to process these sounds. 🔈 What are we getting wrong? 🤔 When constructing or renovating a space, many facility owners fail to ensure that the entire building is outfitted with the appropriate sound design. And, in most cases, priority is typically set on high-profile areas, like meeting rooms or executive offices, while the remainder of the space is left untreated. What can we do about it? 💭 To avoid having to retrofit your space further down the line, consider acoustic treatment throughout the entirety of your building. That way, you can improve productivity, reduce unwanted noise disturbances and enhance the overall quality of your workspace. #Acoustics #OfficeAcoustics #AcousticTreatment #AcousticMaterials #OfficeDesign #OfficeFitOut #OfficeRefurbishment
