Can you share some challenges you've overcome in your career journey? I always felt I had to work even harder because I was a woman with children. Things have changed considerably since I started in the industry. What advice would you give to your younger self? Believe in yourself and surround yourself with strong, positive people. Never be afraid to take a leap of faith. How do you #InspireInclusion in the workplace in 2024? Every single individual, no matter their role, no matter their gender have a significant impact on our success. We're proud to be a part of that 0.1% with Clare Groombridge as our founder and Mandy Morello as the creative lead. But it is such an outrageous number, don't cha think? 🧐 According to &Walsh "70% of design students are women, but only 5-11% of creative director positions are held by women. Only .1% of creative agencies are women-owned. POINT. ONE. PERCENT. How does this make any sense when women drive about 80% of consumer purchasing? Diversity in leadership at agencies drives profit." With that in mind, we hope to inspire more people with our lil creative biz to follow our lead and encourage more women to break the mould in the creative industry and fiercely pursue their passion. 1. Can you share some challenges you've overcome in your career journey? Early on – to balance work and personal life. Looking back, the decision I made to stay home for 5 years to watch my children was without a doubt best decision I made. Entering the workforce again was all about proving your self-worth and sticking to that, not letting anyone tell you otherwise. What advice would you give to your younger self? Don’t compare yourself to others. Set those goals and believe in yourself that you will achieve them. How do you #InspireInclusion in the workplace in 2024? Every member of any team has their own style or approach on how to handle situations and challenges. Empowering and investing in them is what makes a winning team. #WeAreTravelBrands

This is one of my favorite features at MERGE. A monthly, small coffee chat with our women executives. It’s capped at 25 or so team members to create space for an intimate conversation. I had the opportunity to be the speaker last week and I’m so impressed by the women within our company. We work with so many smart, inspiring people who do great work for some of the best brands and clients. They asked me about the best piece of advice I’ve ever received? Have a growth mindset. Your attitude, body language, and tone are all qualities that cost nothing, speaks volumes about your character, and can change the trajectory of the outcome. Be thoughtful about how you show up for yourself and for others. While we continue to make room for inclusion within the workplace, we still have work to do. It is so important to provide our teams with a voice because diversity inspires creativity! We need to keep giving others the tools to shine in various ways.
