Consistent start and end times, along with regular breaks, can help maintain work-life balance and keep you focused. 👥 3) Stay Connected: Use communication tools like video calls, instant messaging, and project management software to stay in touch with your team. Regular check-ins can help maintain a sense of camaraderie and collaboration. 🖇 4) Prioritize Tasks: Make a to-do list and prioritize your tasks based on importance and deadlines. This can help you stay organized and ensure you’re focusing on what needs to be done. 🏃♀️ 5) Take Care of Yourself: Incorporate physical activity, healthy eating, and adequate rest into your daily routine. Recently, a feature I contributed to in #builtincolorado surfaced, spotlighting my journey as a leader, steering my team through the initial burnout we faced transitioning to remote work during the early days of Covid. Three years into remote working, my stance remains unchanged. ⚡ The 🔑 takeaway? Your effectiveness as a professional isn’t measured by the ticking clock but by the value you bring to the table - your knack for problem-solving, fostering innovation, and being authentic in your role. Here’s a friendly ✨ reminder: ❗ Your worth transcends the hours you clock in. It’s about how you leverage your unique skills to navigate challenges and propel your team forward. As we continue embracing the digital workspace, it’s crucial to strike a balance. ***Set clear boundaries, prioritize self-care, and remember, your last sent Slack message doesn’t define your competency.*** ( 👈 THIS) #remotework #settingboundaries #effectiveleadership

Preparing leaders to lead hybrid, distributed & remote teams | Virtual work expert, trainer, keynote speaker I 18 yrs Marketing & Business Leadership I 13 yrs fully remote
Building connections in a hybrid work environment can be difficult. I often get asked what is the best use of time for creating connection during days of the week or month that people go to the office as part of their hybrid schedule. 🤔 Check out this video for my advice - which might seem counter intuitive at first! ❎ I suggest not always focusing on spending time with your direct team when you are in the office. ✅ Instead use it as a way to kickstart new relationships with people in other departments, roles, levels, and functions. Those connections you make with a broader network are not just critical for achieving business outcomes, but also are critical for career advancement and mentorship. While you do need to learn how to create and nurture this extended network across distance as well, the in-office time during your hybrid schedule is a good place to start! #hybridwork #virtualleadership #hybridleadership
