For quite a long time whole Purple Group tried to keep a low profile and let the results speak for us. Yet as we are growing we feel the need to uncover what we were building, why Purple, or how it all started 💜 so recently David Kasper, Filip Rehor and Jakub Nytra spoke about it with Michael Mareš. You can discover all of that and much more in Hospodářské noviny both offline or online here: https://lnkd.in/etVUZ6w8 It is our pleasure Purple Ventures can be part of this great and successful story.

An insightful discussion on team building! Whether in tech or any industry, fostering a team's growth by pushing boundaries and expanding capacities is fundamental to effective leadership. The three C's—competence, capabilities, and commitment—remain at the core of building a successful team. When you find individuals embodying these qualities, onboard them; they'll always bring value to your team. #TeamBuilding #LeadershipDevelopment #TechIndustry #schoolleadership

How to build a network of investors from scratch — a startup hack 🛠️ 1: Organize and host “Founder x Investor” events in your area; pick high-end venues. 2: Market your events on Twitter and LinkedIn (use Luma or Partiful); send short DMs to key investors. 3: Find a few sponsors to cover event costs (venue, apps, drinks). 4: Run event, intro yourself to group. You now own the list; nurture relationships with key investors. 5: Repeat quarterly. — Sample marketing below. This event drew more than 150 RSVPs and 100 attendees at Spring Place NYC. Investors included VCs, family offices, solo GPs and accredited investors. And of course, incredible founders ✨

It was like speed connecting but for entrepreneurs. 🔥 Casie's Nexus Meetup was a great mid-day break. The "speed connecting" format blew me away with its efficiency and impact. I met some exceptional people at the meetup - passionate founders, investors, and creative minds! The conversations were capped at 5 minutes and gave us enough time to do quick introductions. Met some quality people. Again reinforcing that a good concept (speed connecting) is only as powerful as the connections. Casie's network is high caliber and thus pulled together something really special. Check it out below if you want to sign up and get involved with the next one.
🚀🌐 Awesome to run the first Nexus event on Amplifier today! 🚀🌐 A special thanks to all the Founders, Investors, and Community Builders that came together from across 🇺🇸 and the world for 1:1 speed networking and blew open their connections. We will be running these every month! The next one will feature 5 startup pitches 🎤 RSVP here 👉 https://lu.ma/nexus- or tag a founder that should pitch!

If you are building a startup here are some of the best ways to grow: 1) Host Events Online At Literally Helping Startups we've hosted so many events and it's led to great engagement with founders and partners 2) Host Events in Person + Go To Events in Person Between VC Village and all the events here in Boston that I've been to, I've met so many amazing founders and investors 3) Build a Community Our community in Discord has grown drastically and it's a great place for people to gather and talk about what they're building These things take time but have yielded great results. Founders, do the same!!!

Join our hosts, NanaAma Botchway and Kwasi Appiah Okrah, FMVA, as they engage with industry veterans Mirabelle M. Moreaux and Kweku Yeboah Koranteng. Together, they explore the intricacies of fundraising, emphasizing its significance as a pivotal factor for startups—sometimes as crucial as the very idea that fuels them. Determining the ideal funding type, balancing equity negotiations, crafting a compelling pitch deck, and honing in on key metrics are crucial. What funding suits your startup best? How much equity is a fair trade for financial backing? Crafting an irresistible pitch deck demands finesse. And when facing investors, which metrics speak louder than others? The timeline for securing funds varies, but understanding the process is paramount. Have you tried launching a scalable business in Utica NY? It’s not that easy. I launched my first 7-figure company out of Utica. What was the #1 thing that drove the success? Hunting down insights and connections from business leaders outside of Utica! I would jump the train from the Utica train station to NYC, trying to network and attend events. But now Upstate Venture Connect is bringing all that to CNY. Melissa Pegus is one of those people I would travel to meet. But now you can meet her at MVCC's thINCubator. The creator economy is going to create a lot of millionaires, and she is an expert in the topic. If you’re in Utica and want to build a million-dollar business, then attend this event. 1moPR is so important - it's not just about telling people what it is that you do, but it goes a long way in building trust as a publication has credentialled what you're telling stakeholders. 👏👏👏👏
