This week I completed all my requirement for graduate school. Technically still waiting on final grades and sign offs, but- ya girl is done with graduate school at The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health 🎉 I want to thank my parents, for their support the last three years. Thank you for helping me pay for school, for letting me live at home for part of it, for taking care of me in more ways than I can count. Thank you specifically to my sister for reading so many papers, for reassuring me when I was panicking me and being a good sister and friend. Thank you to my American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) colleagues who have shown me grace the last three years as I've juggled a full time job and school. You've all been such an important part of my development. Thank you to all my friends who've cheered me on, let me vent, let me go ghost when things were hectic, and have always helped me celebrate the wins and wallow in the misery. I'm really happy to be done with this journey, and I'm grateful for all it taught me. Not just about public health, but about myself. I learned I'm much more resilient than I ever thought. I've learned I will make mistakes but it's not always the end of the world if I do. I've learned that I'm capable of so much more than my anxiety makes me believe. Cheers everyone 🍾 *cue the Vitamin C song*
