4 years ago, remote work, moving countries, and having a baby were not part of my work vocabulary. But when we adapt well to change, we find opportunity. While I was always an avid fan of being in person at the office, these changes forced me to focus on impact over output, build relationships, and straddle time zones. It's been eventful for us all. But in all of this change, there have been so many opportunities. And so much support. A recent global jobseekers survey revealed that (surprise surprise) "Work Life Balance is still the #1 priority for job seekers. I personally still enjoy a full week in the office for different reasons i.e. children at home, focus, spending time with Leah Hodge 😜 BUT I'm going to be bold and throw out the truth here.... 😫 Recruiters are struggling to fill jobs that require 100% office presence. We do take roles regularly that require total office based commitment and we do fill them, but it does present challenges and candidate shortage that we wouldn't have with a hybrid role. Do you agree? What's your experience? Would you apply for a new job that required you to be in the office all day everyday? Here's a picture of me thinking about it for attention.
