Women are severely disadvantaged in business, compared to men, for 3 reasons. The narrative needs changing.
- Early-stage dating experiences
- Workplace experiences
- Societal 'norms'
And because of this, SO many women hold onto a variations of the beliefs of:
- Not feeling good / worthy enough to be chosen
- Not being taken seriously with what they can offer
- Feeling they have to act or be a certain way to get noticed
And you know how this shows up for women in business?
- Scared to charge what they *really* want because they’re not ‘worth’ it
- Charging way less than men cos they’re less confident with what they offer
- Willing to drop their rates cos of an inferiority complex & being trusted less
I’m NOT here for this.
It saddens me to see SO many women charging less than men, just because:
- They don’t know what their services are truly worth
- They’re too emotionally attached to money & investments
- They’re scared of people saying no and not feeling ‘good enough’
Women can paper over the cracks but there isn’t a quick answer.
It’s undoing years of deeply engrained trauma.
It’s rewriting the script into a less ‘natural’ narrative.
But it's happening cos we see it.
Men, make sure you support women.
Women, flip the script & change the narrative.
We're creating a movement that is taking over.
P.s should I go for President? :P
