It’s a cold one today in Scotland 🏴🥶 Which usually means we will have an influx of enquiries at Taylor Roofs tomorrow from homeowners thinking they have a leak However in the video below our owner Jamie Taylor give’s a little information on how this will more than likely be caused by lack of ventilation, poor insulation or maybe both Condensation/lack of ventilation can be a bit of a minefield subject to navigate alone so if your not sure then it’s best to get some guidance from a roofing professional who understands there is more to roofs than just keeping them watertight The way we live at home has changed drastically since Covid and the chances are your roofing requirements have too Adequate low and high level ventilation is a must as well as ensuring adequate insulation to ensure not too much heat escapes from below Things like disconnected extractor fans and soil vent pipes or non-insulated loft hatches can cause your attic a world of pain Our video is a little old and we’ll probably do a new one so any professionals in this space who want to add in anything we’ve missed in the comments then feel free 😃 https://lnkd.in/eep_EgEJ #roofingcontractor #roofing #homeowner #ventilation #condensation #insulation

❄ Simple and energy-efficient solution for pre-cooling of condenser units during the summer months. Summer is finally here and it is time to think about how to maintain the efficiency of your cooling condensers and how to avoid increased operating costs. Air conditioners, ventilation condensers, fridge condensers, etc. reduce their efficiency on hot days as the circulating fluid of the condenser unit is not cooled as effectively due to the higher surrounding air temperature. In order for the condenser unit to maintain the temperature of the coolant on a warm day, more energy is needed, which leads to higher operating costs. A simple and very energy-efficient way to ensure a continued efficient cooling process is to install a pre-cooling spray system with misting nozzles. Watch Tuomas Keski-Korsu from Hansa Engineering Oy explain about evaporative cooling in the video below. If you are in need of nozzles; call us today! 📞 Sweden, Norway & Denmark: +46 (0)8 594 770 50 Finland & Baltic states: +358 (0)20 743 7110 #evaporativecooling #nozzles #nozzle #mistingnozzles #HAnozzles #engineering #innovation

Ball Float 🆚 Inverted Bucket Steam Traps 📈📉Which is Better? Steam traps play a crucial role in related processes, ensuring efficient operation and preventing energy losses. Selecting the right steam trap can be a critical decision, and we have to make the best choice for our specific needs. This question may seem simple and superficial. However, the decision between these two steam trap options can be influenced by a multitude of factors: Operating Conditions: The suitability of each trap type can vary depending on these factors like pressure levels, condensate loads, and temperature variations.. System Requirements: Requirements of your steam system may be unique, such as the need for rapid condensate removal, air removal efficiency, and overall system reliability. Maintenance Considerations: While ball float traps offer simplicity and ease of maintenance, inverted bucket traps may require more intricate upkeep due to their complex design. Long-Term Cost: While ball float traps may have a lower initial cost, inverted bucket traps' durability and efficiency could result in long-term cost savings. We value your feedback and look forward to assisting you in finding the perfect steam trap solution for your needs. #steamtrap #fluid #flowcontrol #foodprocess #rafinery
