My Internship this summer with Town & Country Engineering has lead me to realize that many people don’t realize what all goes into an upgrade of sewer and water lines and the rebuilding of streets to do so within the community. While many individuals just believe this improvement is a inconvenience, it is the contractor, Fischer Excavating, here, is responsible for completion of these upgrades in a timely manner, while safety is their first and foremost priority. Those who work for the village or Oregon, WI, in this case, take this seriously but they must guarantee the quality of the drinking water and the impact of wastewater on the environment. State inspectors also monitor this, while observing for safety of those working on site. I observe and report back to our engineers and site managers at Town & Country Engineering any irregularities when they need to be addressed. And no, even though you may see many workers standing leaning on their shovel, waiting to do their job, they are in no way “wasting time”. These workers are highly trained to do just their specified job when called upon. Everyone plays a vital role when it comes to making this and projects like it happen across this country, every single day. So, please realize this when you run the faucet for a glass of water, flush your toilet, or drive down a new road, each plays a vital role depending on how well the others are completed.
Below are several documen links, notices and design plans for this project.
Construction executive with a broad background spanning most construction trades, field experience, estimating, project management and operations.
1wInterns in the field on a specialty project such as this must be incredibly insightful. They will certainly see very specific construction details executed in the field they would never see in a typical textbook.
