Thanks James O'Connor, This book was epic. She's a biggun and I can't wait for the next one. 👍. After finishing I couldn't help but look at the Rolleston MOVE site with a sense of local and national pride 🇳🇿 Kiwis always do well, it's in our DNA to be world champions and mate there's no reason to doubt the trajectory and the "essence" that makes a successful recipe. Takeaways: Don't forget your roots / heritage. Invest in technology and in your leadership and lead the way. Don't sleep (just kidding) work hard, but enjoy it. If you like something it's not hard it's development. People are the most important thing in the world. Be focused remember everyones name and organize your day, everyday. Discipline is freedom. "Every step will show" treat everyone/ thing with respect, even if you come off second best. Be humble or It may bite you in the backside. Negotiate in everyone's best interests, giving a little bit at the start pays dividends down the track. Enjoy life, love life and most of all love your whanau time, including work whanau. Tena ra tatou katoa e Brendan and all of the original MOVE team. What a great culture and local network of pride. An inspirational tale of sticking with it and never seeing "no" as answer but rather a solution to a problem that hasn't been identified yet, and oh yes Perseverance, Perseverance, Perseverance. #MOVE

President at Eaton Ventures Holdings Canada Corp - Nurturing Innovation, Driving Growth, and Championing Sustainable Future
🐰 Ever come across the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover"? This meme of two rabbits and their carrots is the perfect depiction of that! In the world of instant gratification, it's easy to get caught up in the surface-level indicators of success. We see the 'Carrot Tops'—flashy cars, big houses, and all the trappings of a "successful" life. But true success, just like the massive carrot hidden beneath the soil, often lies beneath the surface. It's the hard work, resilience, and grit that aren't always visible to the naked eye. So, how do we adopt this mentality in our daily lives? 1. Value the Journey, Not Just the Destination: Celebrate the small wins and the lessons learned, not just the big achievements. 2. Seek Substance Over Flash: Recognize the depth in people, projects, and ideas rather than just their surface appeal. 3. Be Genuine: Authenticity is more valuable than a façade. Don't be afraid to show the hard work and dedication behind your successes. Remember, just like these rabbits and their carrots; there's often more than meets the eye. Let's challenge ourselves to see beyond the 'Carrot Tops' and appreciate the depth and richness that lies beneath. 💪🥕 #SuccessIsNotAlwaysWhatYouSee #DeepRoots #BusinessInsights

This is how we embrace the journey to greatness at Pines Salomon... We recently had the honor of guiding a client through two significant legal battles over ten years. The first was a daunting car accident, and a decade later, another complex challenge. Through it all, our commitment to our clients never wavered. These experiences reflect a powerful principle: 𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙟𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮. Our client's path from adversity to success, not once but twice, is a testament to their resilience and our dedication. 🌟 "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great." - Zig Ziglar. This quote resonates deeply with our approach. 𝙒𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙥𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨. 🌐 Every significant achievement begins with the decision to try. In both legal challenges faced by our client, the combination of their courage and our expertise transformed potential despair into remarkable triumph. 📞 If you're facing a legal challenge and unsure where to begin, remember that the first step is crucial. Contact Pines Salomon for a consultation, and let's start your journey to greatness together. #PinesSalomon #MichaelPines #ClientSuccessStory #LegalExcellence #SanDiegoLaw

One of our four core values at Winona IT, LLC is to 'Act with Integrity and Respect'. The term integrity stems from the Latin word 'integritas', meaning wholeness and completeness. I used to think acting with integrity meant telling the truth, but that's only a small part of it. We have to be honest in our dealings, transparent in our actions, and consistent in our values. We need to be committed to do the right thing even when it's not the easy choice. That's what's really meant by "making the situation whole". Incorporating acting with integrity and respect into our professional lives can have many positive outcomes. It can really foster a culture of trust and accountability, enhance your reputation, and help build lasting relationships. To sum it all up, Dr. Henry Cloud uses the example of a wake behind a boat. The boat represents you moving through your professional career. The one side of the wake represents results - we need to deliver on what is required of us. The other side of the wake represents the positive relationships we build and the people we touch along the way. To operate with integrity is to emphasize the importance of both. As a leader I need to grow in and emphasize both to be the leader I want to be - full of integrity.
