🚀 I embarked on a transformative learning journey with 19h Classic Control Course! ,Here's a glimpse into the skills I've honed: 🔍 Mastered fundamental concepts of classical control, unraveling intricacies in control systems, key elements, types, and functions. 📊 Delved into modeling control systems using transfer equations, Laplace equations, and transformation functions. 🔄 Explored stability analysis techniques with standards like Bode, Nyquist, and Routh-Hurwitz criteria. 🎛 Acquired skills in designing control systems through feedback, predictive, and optimal control techniques. ⚙ Applied classical control principles in diverse domains: electrical, mechanical, and thermal control systems. 🚀 But the journey doesn't end there! Elevated my engineering skills by mastering motor power circuit design, implementing safeguards against overloads, and fine-tuning control through control circuits. I've learned to reverse motor rotation and ensure protection via both electrical and mechanical interlocking mechanisms. Reading data sheets for classic control components like contactors, sensors etc…., . Additionally integrating sensors and timers into control circuits empowers me to optimize functionality across a spectrum of real-world applications. For instance, a pump fills a tank, raises water temperature, then empties the tank. Exploring diverse motor starting techniques—Direct-On-Line (DOL), Star-Delta, and various starters—I've gained a nuanced understanding of their pros and cons. 🚀 My journey includes hands-on experience in industrial applications, like electric iron bending machine operates in two modes: the first automatically bends the iron at a pre-set angle, while the second is manual. In the manual mode, the operator determines the bending angle by continuously pressing two manual bending buttons, translating theoretical knowledge into practical expertise! #ClassicControl #ElectricalEngineering #IndustrialAutomation #PLC

“I purchased Dr. Tom's Mechanical Thermal and Fluid Systems review course due to the positive feedback it had received from various engineering message boards. I was especially encouraged by the free videos accessible from Dr. Tom’s YouTube channel. As I worked through the course, I found that Dr. Tom was able to clearly and succinctly teach the material, and this was especially important to me, being 10+ years out of college and re-familiarizing myself with the concepts. Although my day-to-day work covered a lot of the fluid mechanics portion of the exam, I was less exposed to the thermal portion, and having clear and concise teaching on this was great. The level of difficulty in the review course problems were just right, with the right focus on the high-value, high-probability topics. I implemented Dr. Tom's three-pass method, as well as his DTC approach on exam day, and found out shortly after I had passed. Thank you Dr. Tom and the team!” – Stephen, New York, New York #DrTomsClassroom #MechanicalPEExamPrep #ProfessionalEngineers #ProfessionalEngineer #Engineer #Engineering #EngineeringPost #PE #PassthePE #PEExam #PassYourExam #ExamPreparation #EngineeringExams #MechanicalEngineering #Testimonial

Simple harmonic motion, vibration of materials, and mechanical parts can be a useful tool in machines, such as clocks and some musical instruments. Unwanted harmonic motion and vibrations can weaken and cause serious damage in structures. For these reasons, engineers need to know about vibrations (oscillations) in different structures and how to use, predict and control them. TecQuipment's Universal Vibrations Apparatus Package (TM16S), designed for both classroom and laboratory settings, empowers students to explore a wide range of vibration phenomena, from simple harmonic motion to advanced studies on damping and resonance. By engaging with real-world experiments, students gain invaluable insights into the behaviour of mechanical systems and structures, preparing them for future challenges in engineering practice. With the included tools and storage trays, experiments can be seamlessly set up and changed within minutes, allowing for efficient use of class time and resources. Plus, TecQuipment's VDAS® MKII captures and records experimental data in real-time, providing students with a dynamic learning experience and enhancing their understanding of vibration analysis. Discover the fundamental principles of shear force in a beam with TecQuipment's Shear Force in a Beam (STS3) experiment module! 🛠 Mounted on the structures platform and seamlessly integrated with VDAS® Onboard for automatic experimental data collection and analysis facilitating real-time monitoring and simulation for extended learning opportunities, this product offers a hands-on approach to understanding how loads affect the bending moment in a beam. Beams are integral to most structures, supporting floors, ceilings, and bridges, as well as forming key components in machinery like industrial cranes. Engineers must accurately predict beam behaviour to ensure structural integrity. Assessing factors like shear force often requires sensors installed within the beam. Students apply loads to hangers suspended along the beam, observing the response of the structure to varying single point loads, moving single point loads, and uniformly distributed loads. Equipped with pointers for accurate positioning, the module allows students to compare textbook equations with measured results, creating influence line and shear force diagrams to validate their understanding. Featuring a unique 'cut' section in the test beam, bridged by a load cell and a special mechanism for direct shear force measurement, students gain insight into the behaviour of shear forces at specific points. With the option to apply loads at various positions, students can explore both positive and negative shear forces, enhancing their comprehension of structural behaviour.
