Recently I was writing out a note to my little cousins about the incredible project my college capstone team undertook for NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Mission To Psyche launch. My mom had a brilliant suggestion to introduce them to the wonders of space and science. While detailing the intricate work my team accomplished in constructing a Hall Thruster Plume simulator for the rocket launch, I found myself pondering, "How can we make rocket science understandable to a 6-year-old?" Making the world of science engaging, comprehensible, and enticing for the younger generation may pose challenges, but it's absolutely essential to ensure a brilliant future ahead! Educating young minds about science is like planting seeds of curiosity that grow into the solutions of tomorrow's challenges. It sparks a lifelong passion for discovery, problem-solving, and innovation. When we make science approachable for kids, we're nurturing the scientists, engineers, and leaders of the future who will tackle climate change, explore the cosmos, and find solutions to the most pressing global issues. Moreover, a strong foundation in science empowers children to make informed decisions in their daily lives, from understanding the importance of clean energy to making healthier choices. The NASA Creative Genius Test "In collaboration with Dr. Beth Jarman and Dr. George Land, NASA developed a test that involved tools that would help them measure the amount of creativity in individuals. It’s because NASA wanted to know the intelligence level of their rocket scientists and engineers. The experiment was quite successful, even though it was a unique one. Based on the experiment’s results, the logical next question was- now that we have a measure of someone’s creative potential, where does this potential come from? Is it inherited, or is it developed later in life? To that end, the scientists concerned decided to extend this experiment to young kids to find out what could be the factors involved. The participants of this study were all little kids of 4 or 5 years of age. A total of 1600 kids were made to take the creative genius test. Out of those, 98% cleared the minimum requirements, declaring a NASA rocket scientist as a ‘genius.’ To study this phenomenon further, the same batch of kids was again tested 5 years later. At 10, only 30% of them could clear the bar for being declared a genius. Surprised by this sharp decline, they waited another 5 years to repeat the test and this time around, the percentage dropped even further to stand at a nominal 12%. If you think that is low, you might not be ready for what an average adult scores on the test—a measly 2%. The Culprit Our modern education system is not all that different from the old schooling system, which was established to train factory workers in the early industrialization period. The system teaches you to do mindless labor without asking questions which is suitable for those who have put such a system in place: the wealthy capitalists who drive the maximum profits by doing the minimum..." #thegoldenage #ancientwisdom #theemeraldtablets #thebiodivinehumanoperatingsystem https://lnkd.in/emFm95gq

Unlock your potential. NASA research reveals how to change your world in 30 just days: Here is an incredible illustration of the physiological connection between time and habits. Back in the early days of the space program, NASA designed an experiment to determine the physiological and psychological effects of the spatial disorientation the astronauts would experience in the weightless environment of space. NASA needed to know if the environment of space would have some unexpected negative consequences that would endanger the astronauts or their mission. - Would they black out and be unable to function? - Would they experience some psychotic event that would leave them incapacitated? NASA scientists outfitted each of the astronauts with a pair of convex goggles which flipped everything in their field of vision 180 degrees. In other words, their world was literally turned upside down. 🙃 Although they experienced a range of physical symptoms (as you can imagine!), they gradually adapted to their new realities. Then, something amazing happened. Between days 26-30 the world turned right-side up again for the astronauts! What the scientists discovered is that, after 26-30 days of this continuous stream of new input, the astronauts’ brains actually created neural pathways that “rewired” their brains to see their worlds normally again. The study was repeated and shown to work again. What the scientists learned from these experiments is that the brain requires approximately 30 uninterrupted days for new neural connections to form – and therefore for new habits to form. Uninterrupted is an important factor here. How often do we start well on a change journey, have a couple days off and we're back to square one? OK, so we're not likely to want to actually repeat this study on ourselves! So how can you apply this to your life? Take a a moment to consider ONE thing you would love to change in your life. It doesn't have to be as drastic as flipping the world 180... It could be related to your health / work / daily life / anything. Then, consider how you would feel in 30 days, if you had successfully changed it? The good news, as NASA's rather extreme study shows, this is not only possible, but very likely if you just commit to 30 days of continuous action. In my Habit Coach App I have members changing their life in 30 day challenges, focusing on one habit at a time. If you would like to flip your world (or change one habit!), join the May 30 Day Habit challenge and we'll take small action, everyday, for the 30 days to make the habit change successful. As you will know with habit change, just 'wanting' to change doesn't cut it. So I provide you with 8 scientific tools to help you, short daily videos, coaching and tracking tools for the 30 days. What could you flip in 30 days?? If you are ready to experiment on yourself, join us: https://lnkd.in/eBnGixSK #NASA #habits #30Days

CVO - Chief Vision Officer, CVO - "BODYTEC dammi venti minuti", fitness, wellness and well-being consultant. Osteopath - Head of Education EMS International Academy
🚀 Exciting Developments in EMS Training: Bridging Earth and Space 🌍🌌 I want to share an intriguing article from one of Italy's leading newspapers, Corriere della Sera, dated September 2023. It's a story with dual facets - one immensely fascinating and the other, a source of amusement for experts in the realm of EMS Training. What caught my attention: 🔬 Space-Age Recognition: The fact that the MEDICINE section, dedicated to health, muscles, and bones, featured an article on the benefits of EMS training for astronauts in orbit is a remarkable signal of acknowledgment for its efficacy. It's not every day that space and EMS Training intersect in mainstream discussions. 🚀 Elon Musk's Involvement: The experiment conducted on the crew of the "Dragon" spacecraft, owned by the renowned innovator Elon Musk, adds a layer of prestige to the study. Musk's commitment to innovation aligns seamlessly with the pioneering nature of EMS training. 🌌 International Research Collaboration: The article references a broader 3-year research program sponsored by the European Space Agency, NASA, UK Space Agency, the Italian Space Agency, and the German Space Agency. This international collaboration underscores the gravity of the study and its potential implications. Here is the link to UK article: https://lnkd.in/eyxGBWqF What brings a smile to my face: 😊 Unveiling the Obvious: At the article's conclusion, both in Italian and English, the journalist proudly declares that applications of this method are being considered for use on Earth, particularly for the elderly or those with reduced mobility. What tickles my funny bone is the apparent oversight that we've been studying and transforming lives with EMS W-B training for nearly two decades. The effectiveness of these applications has been scientifically recognized since the 1970s, supported by hundreds of scientific studies and practical applications. Perhaps living with those who work in space disconnects one from the realities of life on planet Earth... 😄 As the Head of Education of an international academy specializing in EMS training, it's heartening to witness the expanding recognition of the benefits we've known for years. Let's continue to push the boundaries of innovation and explore new frontiers, both in space and in enhancing the well-being of individuals here on Earth. Here's to the future of EMS training, where the sky is not the limit! #EMSTraining #Innovation #SpaceHealth #FitnessInSpace #WellnessOnEarth #emstrainingacademy #knop
