𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲   Someone in my network sent me an article, "𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘯 2025. 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘺." and asked my opinion. They knew l am always happy to share my opinion 😉. As a technology executive and former education tech leader, I see the projected 2025 enrollment drop as both a challenge and an opportunity. Here’s how college leaders might think about navigating some of these changes: 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: Expand and tailor programs to emerging fields. This keeps the curriculum relevant and attracts non-traditional students looking for reskilling opportunities. Start by conducting market analyses to identify skill gaps, then develop or expand programs accordingly, beginning with scalable short-term certificate courses. Multiple certificates could culminate in a degree. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Implement AI and automation to personalize and make the advising and course selection process more intuitive. Start with a technology audit to identify gaps, then pilot AI or RPA in one department to streamline advising, using the insights gained for broader implementation. Global Partnerships: Foster international collaborations for exchange programs, joint research, and distance education to cultivate a diverse student body. Start with small projects in one department to refine processes before expanding. 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀: Accommodate adult learners and working professionals with flexible schedules and hybrid models. Survey these learners to design pilot courses that meet their needs, evaluating effectiveness before a wider rollout—Repackage education materials to meet the needs of the learners (your customer). 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: Enhance mental health and career support services. Form a task force to pinpoint needs and start by expanding telehealth services. By embracing innovation, flexibility, and inclusivity, colleges can transform challenges into opportunities for growth and impact. College presidents and board members, I'd be glad to share insights or connect you with leading organizations that can help your campus navigate the challenges of 2025. A two day workshop on Guiding Voices and Campus Voices Unite: The inaugural day spotlighted the profound potential of shaping a student's character, a feat achievable through the guidance of adept educators who understand the student's perspective. This insight thrives through continuous interactions and the cultivation of strong faculty-student relationships. Professor P. Nagabhushan exemplifies this role, playing a pivotal part in guiding our Amphisoft founder, Dr. Pradeep, towards transforming higher education. In line with these principles, Ms. Vijaya Mair emphasized educators' critical role in preparing students for the ever-changing future. She stressed educators' need to continuously refine their skills, staying current with technological advancements while imparting profound knowledge to students. Mair's endorsement of E-Box as a platform dedicated to empowering educators and students underscores the urgency of forging partnerships with technology-driven solutions. E-Box offers a suite of tools that enhance learning in the digital era, making the educational process more engaging and effective. It equips students with hands-on experiences in cutting-edge technologies, preparing them for the future. As education evolves, collaborations with technology-driven solutions like E-Box are crucial, ensuring both faculty and students are well-prepared for the future. Joshua Roy discussed issues of diversion and depression faced by students, illustrating his point with a story of a talented young woman who struggled in college due to communication skills, leading to depression. Tackling these issues hinges on professors' ability to cultivate supportive relationships with students. Class representatives, having honed their skills at the "Campus Voices Unite" workshop, are indispensable advocates. They articulate student concerns, organize activities, and nurture a conducive learning environment.
