Brands continue to face some of their toughest communications and cultural challenges - fierce political debates, DE&I attacks, and constantly scrutinized messages. To help our clients meet this moment, we’re growing our multicultural engagement and public affairs practices. To start we’ve promoted Krishana Davis to lead and revamp our Multicultural Engagement practice! And we’ve added two of the smartest comms professionals in the business to our leadership team - Tim Mulvey, a seasoned Capitol Hill strategist, and Melissa Miller, most recently Ford’s public policy communications manager. In honor of #WorldRefugeeDay, Precision is reflecting on our work with Welcome.US to mobilize Americans to welcome refugees to the United States. The number of people forcibly displaced worldwide reached an all-time high of 120 million in 2023, driven by escalating global conflicts and growing humanitarian crises. But the good news is Americans want to help — many just don’t know where to start. To fill this gap, in 2021, Precision supported the launch of Welcome.US, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that empowers everyone from individuals to corporations to get involved in welcoming refugees and helping them build new lives in the United States. Over the last few years, we've worked with Welcome.US to support new sponsorship programs like the Welcome Corps, and tell the story of how they’re galvanizing the public to #BeAWelcomer.
