MMV is part of CCS processes, mainly one would think of 4-D seismic as main tool at different time lapse to see plume migration. Nowadays seems like fiber optic is on the rise for this application. The use of a single optical cable system allows for the installation of pressure and temperature sensors at the injection depth, enabling real-time monitoring of CO2 injection. This setup ensures that the injection rate and pressure remain within the frac gradient of the cap rock seal, a level of precision that was previously achievable only with tubing-conveyed options. Installing optical gauges in this environment is ideal because the transducer’s low mass enables it to withstand the high G loads typically experienced in the localized area of perforating gun discharge.

Life is kinda cool sometimes. As a freshman in college, my plan was to major in chemical engineering. A combination of mature and immature decisions eventually led me to study history instead. Fast forward to this week where I will be at a conference speaking about water considerations for producing Clean Hydrogen. In preparation for my session, I’ve taken some time for self reflection. Here are a few out-of-context topics / thoughts that have sprung to mind (Let me know if you’re interested in the context of how I turn these seemingly non-sequiturs into actual sequiturs). 1.
