In addition to his direct involvement with startups, Dan works to cultivate connectivity across the life science community, including venture, academia, service providers, and entrepreneurs to launch and scale breakthrough companies. Prior to Portal, Dan served as a Director at Browne Consulting, Manager of Financial Operations at Micro-Leads, Operations Manager at Akili Interactive, and Manager of Operations and Finance at PureTech. The Northwestern University Sequencing (NUSeq) Facility supports the University's needs for the latest sequencing technologies. NUSeq maintains a fleet of start-of-the-art short and long read sequencers, including NovaSeq X Plus, Element AVITI, and PacBio Revio. The NUSeq team provides project consultation and execution, from sample processing, sequencing, to bioinformatics and data mining. We're excited to share that Palate Therapeutics and Full Circles Therapeutics Inc. are joining the Portal ecosystem! The companies will be hosted out of our lab space in Atlanta and Boston, respectively, and were awarded lab space via our Portal Pathbreakers innovation call with Novo Nordisk’s #BioInnovationHub from earlier this year.   The innovation call brought together the Bio Innovation Hub and Portal Innovations teams to identify and support projects within the cardiometabolic space, with the goal to provide needed resources to advance research from lab space to funding and collaboration. Thank you to everyone who applied (we received nearly 90 applications!).
