Since the turn of the century, Hilcona has been supplying the impulse market in Switzerland with a wide range of ultra-fresh and fresh convenience products. This milestone event was a joyous occasion, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our valued partners from the cruise industry, our dedicated service providers, representatives from the tourism sector, political stakeholders, and esteemed colleagues from the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) for joining us. Your support and collaboration over the last ten years have been invaluable, and we couldn't have reached this landmark without you. Throughout the past decade, together with our partners, we have accomplished pioneering work at the Hamburg cruise location and driven its successful development forward. Our Managing Directors, Iris Scheel and Simone Tommaso Maraschi, took the opportunity to highlight the importance of Hamburg's strategy to expand the shore power infrastructure. This development is a crucial factor in the sustainable growth of the cruise business in Hamburg and a significant step towards becoming a green port. By providing shore power, we reduce the environmental impact of cruise ships while they are docked, contributing to cleaner air and a healthier city. #PORTforum The last three days were all about the #Latvian #German Port Days 2024: Many thanks to all our partners, especially the Satiksmes ministrija / Ministry of Transport Latvia for their support with our great program consisting of a welcome port tour, company visits, networking meetings and of course the successful closing #portforum last night at the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation! The delegation trip kicked off on wednesday with a port tour accompanied by the Mayor of Riga, Vilnis Ķirsis, the Managing Director of the Freeport of Riga Authority, Ansis Zeltins, and the German Ambassador to Riga, Christian Heldt. The delegation also visited a number of companies: Many thanks to Latvijas Mobilais Telefons SIA, Arturs Lindenbergs, and the LVR Flote, Kaspars Ozoliņš for the exciting information about #5G technology test beds, the Latvian maritime test bed and 5G development in the Baltic Sea. Additionally the German delegation visited Latvijas Finieris AS - thank you toMārtiņš Lācis for the exciting insights: Did you know that Latvijas Finieris is the No. 1 Latvian export company to Germany? The German-Latvian Port Business Forum on 11 July with 90 participants from Latvia and Germany was a successful conclusion of this delegation trip co-organised by Port of Hamburg Marketing and the Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft mbH / Prof. Dr. Sebastian Jürgens and its partners. We would especially like to thank Mr. Kaspars Briškens, Minister of Transport of Latvia, for taking the time for meeting with the delegation! The opening speeches by H.E. Christian Heldt, German Ambassador to Latvia, Vilnis Ķirsis, Mayor of Riga, and Niels Wiecker were followed by two exciting panel discussions. The evening was hosted by Marina Basso Michael, Regional Director Europe and Head of Market Development Baltic Sea Region / Eastern Europe at Port of Hamburg Marketing and Janis Kasalis, Chairman of the Council of Latvian Stevedoring Company Association. We are delighted with the successful three days, rich in exchange and inspiration for further cooperation and projects. In the latest issue of our Port of Hamburg #magazine read more on how Evos Hamburg has already gained many years of experience doing just that! 💡 For Evos, the prospects of handling #CO2 for storage in the near future are good. There are not only nine moorings for seafaring vessels. The company also offers its customers excellent handling capacity for inland transport. For instance, the employees dispatch up to seven full trains every day. Moreover, there are eleven loading platforms for tank trucks. There would also be space for additional tanks on site.
