--- 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 - 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 ⛈️ In recent weeks, the bees have had to cope with extremely challenging weather conditions. Cold and rainy weather can be very stressful, as flying out and collecting food is impossible when it is wet. So it's all the more pleasing that 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 are finally here. 🌳 The lime trees are also already in bloom - and a 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 for the bees. The lime blossom provides plenty of nectar and pollen, which is particularly valuable for the bee colonies to replenish their supplies and build strong brood nests. In many areas, the lavender has already opened its flowers too. 🐝 At the same time, beekeepers are observing increased 𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿 among the bees, which is encouraged by the current abundance of nectar and pollen and allows for the hive to grow faster. While this is normal behaviour for the bees, it can be challenging for beekeepers to control the swarms and settle them in new hives. 🌼 Overall, the last few days have clearly shown how closely the well-being of bees is linked to weather conditions and the availability of food sources. The current lime blossom is a welcome support, but beekeepers must remain vigilant to meet the needs of their colonies and manage swarming behaviour. #PORRGroup #HomeOfConstruction #SommerZeit #BlüteZeit

Your favourite Beauty, Health, and Wellness Writer// Skincare Enthusiast// Medical Student 👩⚕️// Lover of Christ❤️
Did you know your body is like a garden? I like to envision the human body as a garden, and the things we take into and do to our bodies as seeds sown. In the long run, they either contribute to the nurturing of this intricate garden within, or, regrettably, unintentionally contribute to its deterioration. I also like to picture cancer and many other illnesses that affect the human body as inevitable relentless weeds attempting to invade and sabotage the flourishing beauty of our precious gardens. But fear not, with dedicated care and unwavering attention, you hold the power to safeguard your health and well-being. So, in honor of this years #worldcancerday, we're still raising awareness and implementing simple ways to minimize the risk of cancer. Safeguard your health and reduce your risk of cancer by: • Sowing the seeds of healthy diets low in saturated fat and red meat, and high in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. This forms the foundation of a resilient garden. • Taking a mindful approach to watering your garden, by being well hydrated with fresh clean water, and limiting your alcohol consumption (to at least an average of one to zero drink a day). • Exercising regularly to maintain a healthy weight and reduce your risk of colon, breast, and reproductive cancers. • Weeding out the toxic intruders, such as tobacco and passive smoke. • Reducing the intake of over-processed foods with high calorie indices to maintain the garden's balance. Your garden thrives when tended with mindful choices. • Protecting yourself from the damaging rays of sun exposure by wearing protective clothing and using suitable sunscreen, just as we shield our gardens from the harsh elements. • Reinforcing your garden's defenses against potential threats by getting vaccinated against viruses that can lead to cancer, such as HPV and hepatitis B, and • Prioritizing regular screenings as your diligent inspections, to ensure early detection of any budding issues before they blossom into serious health challenges. • Lastly, by cultivating a stress-free environment – akin to tending to your favorite plants. Your precious garden, your body, deserves meticulous care. So, tend to it by intentionally cultivating life habits and choices that consistently blooms with well-being. Follow these tips and let's fight together against cancer. Much love, Mary Elijah #cancerawareness #HealthAndWellness #SelfCare #wellnesstips #wellness #worldcancerday

Year's end. The six-odd days after Christmas and the six after New Year's form what the Germans call "Rauhnächte"–literally: "Rough Nights." Early farmers believed that this period was responsible for the weather throughout the coming year. Because the weather grows unfriendly–rough–and the skies are dark, this period may be best utilized to say goodbye to the old year and to make preparations for the new. There are rituals to be performed, smoke ceremonies, for example, but clearly everyone would benefit from taking stock of where one is and where one wants to be in the future, and, if the one does not equal the other–asking ourselves why? For those interested in an amazing, thoroughly-structured plan that can be used not only for these 12 Nights but for the entire year, one that greatly enhances one's prospects, just comment below. For lazier types–at the start of every coming month I'll be posting an extended version of what we're doing each and every Rough Night. Just check it out! All the best. #SuperFreques https://lnkd.in/e8XgafMT

Frigid trails, buzzing tales… The Chronicles of SUN-day…RUN-days, Volume 3, Issue 15, Episode 55 On every SUN-day morning, I embark on my ritualistic run. Rain or shine, through all weather conditions, I lace up my shoes and head out the door. A fresh coat of snow greeted my happy feet as I left the house to run this morning. The air temperature, a coldish 18 F/-8 C, made for a crisp, crunchy sound beneath my Hokas. The brilliance of the frigid snow carpeted the earth with billions of brilliant flecks of light as the sun reflected upon newly fallen flakes. A run filled with cooling physical and mental bliss. This is the time of year in my part of the world when we occasionally experience huge variations in temperature shifts. At night the temperatures can fall to the sub-0 F range, with day temperatures rising well into the 50-60’s F. This week we saw one of those massive shift days. A beekeeper waits all winter for the very day when the thermometer reaches the balmy temp of 55+ F. What is the significance of 55+ degrees? Well just ask the girl who was frantically buzzing the Ring camera! When the outside temperature reached the mid-50’s, the bees leave the hive. In warmer winter weather, a fascinating phenomenon occurs within the beehive. Honeybees, typically dormant during colder months, become more active and venture outside in search of food sources. This behavior, known as winter cleansing flights, allows bees to eliminate waste from the hive (think poop!) and potentially find additional nectar or pollen. Despite the chilly conditions, these brief excursions play a crucial role in maintaining the hive's cleanliness and ensuring the colony's overall well-being during the winter months. During these winter cleansing flights, bees showcase remarkable thermoregulation skills, ensuring their bodies stay warm enough to endure the colder temperatures. The collective effort of the hive in performing these cleansing flights reflects the intricate and cooperative nature of bee colonies, highlighting their adaptability to diverse environmental challenges throughout the year. As a beekeeper, witnessing my bees emerge alive and active during these winter cleansing flights fills me with joy and relief. It's a reassuring sight that reflects the resilience of the hive and the adaptability of the bees to changing weather conditions, providing a promising indicator of the colony's overall health and vitality. A soul cleansing for me… of sorts. In close, I wish you a vibrant week, filled with the energy of my SUN-day run and the lively winter dance of buzzing bees. May each day be as invigorating as the scenes unfolding around you. #Run #IronCrucibleHealth #Mindset #Health #PersonalDevelopment ----------- As a lover of nature and running, and a DNA-Based health and weight loss coach, I inspire others to appreciate the outdoors and achieve optimal body weight and whole-BEING! 👑

Beehive winter checkup. 🐝❄️ I decided to check on my bees to ensure they are fairing well in this Wyoming winter. It's a critical time, considering the three mortal enemies of a winter beehive: disease, starvation, and humidity. Just plain cold weather doesn’t often kill them. I witnessed my hives survive -40F last year. Armed with sugar boards (to supplement their honey stores) and an inspecting eye, I checked my hives to make sure both were well-fed, populated and dry. Of course, not without a couple of stingy reminders that beekeeping isn't all sunshine ☀️ and honey 🍯 — I got stung on the left ear and wrist. Ouch! The occasional bee stings do come with some surprising health perks…I feel that intentional bee stings (apitherapy) 🐝 in the right places can be beneficial to my health. And if you're curious to see what bees look like on a +45f winter day, check out this video snippet capturing my winter hive check and short bee funeral. I find bees forever fascinating. #Beekeeping #Apitherapy I believe that we can change the global experience of our entire species by making the decision to open-mindedly, genuinely and unrestrictedly explore - then open-heartedly, joyously and unreservedly accept - the reality of Who We Really Are. As autumn approaches, the lush greenery of trees gives way to a stunning array of vibrant hues, and with that comes the inevitable task of raking and clearing fallen leaves from our yards. As a homeowner, there are various ways to deal with it. Here are three standard methods you can consider. Although some areas offer leaf removal services, most do not. The first option is composting. This is a highly beneficial method if you have the time and space, as it provides a hibernation spot for beneficial insects such as bumblebees, butterflies, and ladybugs. Composting also adds nutrients back into the soil. The second option is hauling away the leaves, which is laborious and time-consuming, and only a few will choose to do so. The last option is burning the leaves. This is the most popular choice as it efficiently removes them and leaves behind manageable ashes. If you decide to burn, wait until the leaves are dry, as dry leaves will create less smoke. Choose a day with minimal wind, and never leave a fire unattended. Keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby in case the fire gets out of hand. Don't be shy about wearing a mask if the smoke becomes a concern, as smoke inhalation can have serious health consequences. Remember to prioritize safety while enjoying the fleeting beauty of these leaves. Tara Stahl Realtor 574-849-3621
