And we thought the New Yorkers were going to sound off in this video! 📣 Don’t be afraid to have an opinion in your TikTok videos. Sometimes a little ‘controversy’ creates a lot of views. In this case it’s been 330k+ in a few days. 🎥 When we shot the video, the Canadian Chef who went against the grain for NOT recognising New York as the best bagel maker on the planet wasn’t afraid to take some heat in the kitchen. 🙌 I thought the comments were going to be relentless. But- he’s received a lot of support for his stance. 🚀 However, there is another debate that is catapulting this video to a viral status… 🍺 'Can you classify BEER as FOOD?' 🇮🇪 When I asked the Irish Chef what food couldn’t be made right outside of his home country and he said ‘Guinness’- I had to ask for clarification. His confidence in his answer, no matter what sparked in the comments, was endearing. As a non-beer drinker, I realised I couldn’t argue with him. And- I knew it had to be our opening shot. 🥯 🥊 The one two punch for our video hook would be delivered with the bagel twist immediately after. We all have different tastes. You can’t let fear of disagreement stop you on TikTok. If you know food but don’t know how turn this knowledge into viral videos- get in touch. Loved this McDonalds campaign -> "My favorite restaurant" Notice how it isn't about burgers and fries? Great ads make you FEEL something. Not just "hey, buy this." It's about feelings. Sunset meals. Nostalgia. They create an emotional link to the brand. And tap into your memories. They pick a hyper specific moment. Like having a burger inside the car wash. When you tell a great story.
