Following its successful show in January 2023, Paris Packaging Week is gearing up for a bigger and more exciting show for its 2024 edition. As one of the must-attend events for all the latest innovations and developments, the annual expo has recently announced the winners for its maiden “𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬” programme — a group of talented young professionals from across the packaging sector who embody the industry’s newest generation. The 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘧 2024 represents the wide range of disciplines that make the 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 industry so vibrant. “Paris Packaging Week’s mission is to give a vision of the future of packaging in the aerosol, beauty, luxury and drinks sectors,” remarked Christelle Anya, Content and Community Director at Paris Packaging Week. Expressing her hopes and dreams for these young talents (comprising members from France, the UK, South Africa, USA and the Netherlands), Anya added that “they are a group of inspiring young professionals who are already impacting the future of the sector with creativity, energy, and real passion. 🎵 On the eighth day of Christmas, The Bluedog Group agency, Is at the forefront of retail design, through innovation and versatility. 🎵 Group agency Kounter was delighted to work with Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail to launch its Amsterdam Golden Beacon concept into a fully modular store, in partnership with Gebr. Heinemann and Schiphol Airport Retail. TRBusiness - Travel Retail Business stated, “The refurbished space is said to be at the “forefront of innovative retail design”, featuring digitised screens, glorifiers, and wave and learn engagement systems. Modular in design, the space allows for versatility and cross-category customer experiences. As such, the store will constantly evolve throughout the year.” Working in Amsterdam’s Golden Beacon retail space, we were delighted to take on the challenge to meet the space's aims - to minimise Pernod Ricard’s carbon footprint. As part of our Better Places plan, we’re committed to the sustainable transformation of the retail industry. To accelerate that transformation, we partner with our visitors, brands and retailers to deliver more sustainable experiences at our destinations. In 2023, our teams made strong progress against our sustainability targets! ✅ We rolled out our Sustainable Retail Index to 57% of our eligible revenue in Europe, assessing more than 2,500 fashion retailers and 800 brands. 82% of those assessed are already engaged in sustainability initiatives, with 52% identified as Active, Advanced or Leader. This year we are assessing Health & Beauty sector, with a target of reaching 70% of eligible revenue covered by the Sustainable Retail Index by the end of 2024. ✅ In 2023, 100% of our destinations in Europe hosted at least one sustainability event, like the Westfield Good Festival. Walking through the expo with Susan Haid and Alwyn Viljoen, we were surrounded by a sea of "new" products.
