Riding on the wave (pun intended) of my most recently shared posts, this is a great webinar to learn more about marine life cycle analysis.

This is stark reading. But for anyone even remotely following the news recently, it should be no surprise. The planetary boundaries system by Stockholm Resilience Centre is a method of assessing stability and resilience of the planet. When 6 of the 9 boundaries are now being breached, it is yet another sign that we all need to be acting, and acting fast. We know that farming contributes 10-11% of our UK GHG emissions, as well as impacting nature. Farmers are also incredibly passionate about farming being a huge of the solution as well (after all, farmed land accounts for 70% of the the UK landscape) At Exchange we start with rigorous on farm measurement - and then link the farming world with the supply chain to accelerate funding into farming. https://lnkd.in/dkxi96CY

Good to see the exploration of how using the REDD framework for monitoring the success of protecting forests continuing with some more peer-reviewed science. How can we know what we ought to do, unless we know where we are and where we are heading? In the context of soil depletion, climate risk, and biodiversity loss -- insights about how we're using our lands are extremely valuable. I want to highlight this fascinating study published last year by one of our Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness project partners, Regenerative Design Group. It's only 5 pages: a highly visual summary of land use trends in Massachusetts.
