Exciting News! We've launched the Maximum Impact Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit, a cause that is near and dear to our hearts here at the Tri-County Regional Chamber! Our foundation is dedicated to empowering the next generation of skilled workers. We provide scholarships and grants for students pursuing vocational training and trade schools, offering an alternative path to success beyond traditional college education. Scholarships will also offer one | one bookkeeping training, new websites and marketing for new skilled trade businesses. As baby boomers step into retirement, we're not just losing workforce numbers; we're losing decades of irreplaceable knowledge and skills. This transition is creating an urgent need for trained professionals in various trades. By supporting vocational education, we're not just filling jobs, we're building stronger, more resilient communities and contributing to a robust and diverse economy. One of the best things about preparing our annual impact report is being reminded of all the positive stories of young people we've helped. Like Harry's story, which shows his journey from struggling to find his motivation to becoming a confident job-seeker. Harry* received support through Door 43 as well as our employability service, highlighting how important this holistic approach is for young people who've graduated through the pandemic and struggled to navigate that path into employment while dealing with mental health issues exacerbated by the isolation of lockdown. Our programmes have such an incredible impact on the mental health and wellbeing of the young people they serve, in addition to boosting the local economy through increasing numbers in work and decreasing pressure on the NHS and Local Authority. But our funding has changed dramatically. We rely on the generosity of people like you to keep going. £150 can pay for a group of unemployed young people like Harry to learn crucial interview techniques, so they can land their dream job.
