We are Teresa and Fernanda Hurtado. We were born twins and artists. Our way of expressing ourselves has work, creativity, and ingenuity. We recreate an aesthetic purpose, an aspect of reality, in beautiful forms using matter, image, sound, through "Art is a guarantee of sanity." As Picasso said: Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.» https://lnkd.in/d_cbJN4D We need to externalize what we feel, and art has always been the means of communicating and expressing our emotions; which can be appreciated through any of our Musical Video-Arts, also

ᴩɪᴀɴᴏ ᴩɪᴀɴᴏ • installed art starring Kim Go-eun Mondoleonia Art introduces an installed art proposal named « piano piano. » Two Fazioli F308 Grand Pianos are positioned at the center of a vast hall, one flipped on the other. The chosen setting for the concept is the Spanish Hall of Ambras Castle, nestled in the hills above Innsbruck, Austria, boasting impressive dimensions of 43 meters (141 feet) in length and 13 meters (42 feet) in width. However, an alternative location of similar grandeur could be considered. The title « piano piano » is Italian, piano is a word with multiple meanings: level, floor, piano (short for pianoforte), plan, quietly, softly, slowly. Piano piano suggests a careful, measured approach, to take one's time, to proceed gradually. In this context, it also refers to the two musical instruments. #contemporaryart #kimgoeun #김고은 #artexhibition #fazioli #piano #emergingartscene #ambrascastle https://lnkd.in/gGHz5xDZ

Darkness holds the grace of the light - Shots from the performance Chiroptera. 153 dancers on the scaffolding of the Paris Palais Garnier under renovation. A show from last month by artist JR, choreographer Damien Jalet, the Paris national opera and music by Thomas Bangalter. Chiroptera was the climax of three performances that were given on the temporary facade of the palais. Making use of a range of media, from large projections to physical dance. Centered around the theme of a (Plato) cave. Great repurposing of construction sites 👷♀️

(New York, NY) - There are a few #opera world provocateurs these days, but no one hits like Haus of Shmizzay on #Instagram. Online research tells us that he’s a classically-trained #tenor James Smidt, who’s studied at both the University of University of North Carolina School of the Arts' A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute and University of Maryland's Maryland Opera Studio, the latter for his master's degree in opera performance. In addition to being a #voiceteacher - the focus of our December 2023 chat - he's an in-demand speaker and one of opera's more excitingly unpredictable English-speaking voices on IG, with receipts from grateful and succeeding artists (client testimonials and work wins speak for themselves). In March 2024, Smidt was invited to work with Staatsoper Stuttgart artists and more. And, of course, the memes that never stop giving everything. He managed to see 600 students during his first year of official Haus operation, and attributes his studio's success to "exceptional talent as a teacher" and "talent as a promoter, personality, and yes, shit stirrer." Adding: "The girls came for the tea and stayed for the technique." Last fall, after admiring his online maximalism, as well as the real value expressed regarding voice and technique, this opera lover, fan and layperson reached out; he’s challenging a vocal status quo that perhaps needs challenging (like we challenge prevailing #businessofopera models as antiquated and inefficient). Fortunately, James agreed, and we taped a hilarious Zoom interview right before Christmas. This is a long read. But in addition to the irreverence, invaluable #business #branding insights, and the role Versace plays in in all, James’ #HausofShmizzay #entrepreneurial know-how and how-to make this one of OI’s favorite interviews. Thanks for your time and trust, James. The Italian tradition of musical still lifes began with Venetian artists such as Titian painting musical performances, while at the same time artists such as Sebastiano Del Piombo and Dosso Dossi incorporated musical instruments as props in their portraits and mythological paintings. In the mid-17th century, a shift began to occur, leading to instruments figuring more prominently alongside instrument makers and musicians. Roughly a decade later, these figures would disappear altogether from the canvases of Evaristo Baschenis (1617–1677), who pioneered the musical still life. “That is an invention of Baschenis,” explains Maurizio Canesso, founder of Galerie Canesso. “He put his instruments in a large, wide space that seems to be in a suspension. The instruments are generally face down, as if to say the music is over.” Discover the development of instrumental iconography in 17th-century Italian art.
