The countdown to the World HR Congress has begun, and anticipation is mounting as we eagerly await insights from our esteemed speakers! In the meantime, we're excited to launch a series of short interviews with our speakers. First up is Mr. D N Prasad (D N Prasad, PCC. IHRP-MP.), Senior Director of People & Organisation at GovTech Singapore and President of SHRI. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗥 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? Organisations are all about #people. The full range of #humancapability allows us to contribute to any organisation’s journey and success thereof. As custodians of this very pivotal space, our careers as HR practitioners offer #purpose and #meaning, and give us a platform to create impact and #touchlives. Beyond all that, we grow professionally and as individuals as well. So, why wouldn't we keep going?! 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗛𝗥 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘅𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? Navigating possibilities and paradoxes in our area of work is a paradox in itself – it’s challenging yet rewarding. As HR practitioners, we encounter situations that need us to balance competing demands, conflicting expectations, and contradictory information. Therefore, it’s important for us to remain intellectually curious and intellectually humble and not to get stuck in a single way of thinking, doing, or being. Even failure is a form of learning, and I would pick that any day than regret not trying. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗥 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀? The World HR Congress 2024 is a unique platform for an opportunity to network with global HR and business leaders, gain insights from experts and speakers, and discover the latest trends and developments in the field of People, Organisation and Culture. Speaking of cultures, for our audience planning to visit Singapore for the event, the city is one of the most dynamic and diverse cities in the world and home to a melting pot of cultures. Food for Thought; Food for the Soul; Food for the palate! #WHRC2024 #HRInnovation #PeoplePossibilitiesParadoxes #FrontierOfWork #HRLeadership #HRConference #ProfessionalDevelopment #WorkplaceTransformation

☀️ Partnerships | New Business Sales and Revenue | APAC Experience | Payroll | HCM | Managed Services | EOR
Yesterday, Deel hosted our fourth Singapore HR Leaders Luncheon with Partner PraisePal 🎉 2 key takeaways: 💻 Remote/Hybrid work: Although many companies have asked employees to return to the office, the demand for flexible working remains high. A hybrid work model that allows flexible work arrangements can significantly improve the employee experience and ultimately increase employee retention. Companies should explore the feasibility of setting up offices in places where employees would like to work from. 💸 Rewards & Recognition: Employees working in the back offices often do not receive the same level of recognition as some other functions. As a business leader, we need to find better ways to ensure employees across functions feel seen and valued for the work they do. Karen Ng Grace B. Catherine Chien Julian Wong Zelia Leong

Last Thursday we hosted 25 HR Leaders at our office for the third Mercer Asia and EngageRocket breakfast event of the year. This time our focus was on understanding the State of the Employee Experience in Singapore based on Mercer’s latest survey benchmark data. Singapore has some bright spots when it comes to perceptions of leaders and ethical business practices, but is falling behind in areas like employee energy, perceptions of growth opportunities and employees feeling empowered to influence the way we do things at work. In our breakout groups we discussed how to unlock energy in our workforces; this is particularly relevant in Singapore where only 63% of employees are feeling energised and enthusiastic. We heard insightful sharings on the different practical actions HR leaders are taking to create employee experiences that are enabling, enriching and empathetic. Thanks to Marieke van Raaij for always being a reliable co-facilitator, Liv Lambourn and Wan Yee Choo for the help to design the session and EngageRocket for the ongoing strong partnership! Reach out if you would like to join us at the next event. #employeelistening #employeeexperience #futureofwork #singapore #mercer

🌟 Recap of Yesterday's Unforgettable Event! 🌟 The HR Summit România 2023 - Confronting HR Challenges: The Persistent and the Uncharted was an exceptional event that brought together more than 200 HR professionals and spotlighted the challenges HR departments face. Great insights shared by a lineup of outstanding speakers: Sinziana Muresan, Alina Perrin, Cristiana Belodan, Cristina Bidiga, Dan Koblicska, Georgiana Pankler, Iulian Foca, Lavinia Nicoara, Magnoliu Stan, Alina Pop, Dan Bruma, Cristian Gabriel Pavel, Iulian Ionita, Raymond Marin, Lucian Cimpoies. Special mention to Ionut Gherle, the masterful moderator who expertly guided the discussions! 👏 🌠 Key Takeaways from the Event: ▪ Retention is the new recruitment ▪ Top management support is crucial for HR success ▪ Organizations should provide programs and platforms to facilitate open communication channels ▪ We need to adapt continuously ▪ We have access to information but no specialists with know-how ▪ Learning is Essential: Learning is the most critical skill for staying relevant ▪ Lack of talent: We have talents, but we need to learn how to develop them. We don't have the patience to nurture them. Senior colleagues need dedicated time to support new members. ▪ Breaking Down Walls: Encouraging a broader perspective beyond individual projects. ▪ Importance of Mentorship: Allocate time for mentors and mentoring is crucial ▪ The most important tool is defining roles and responsibilities and giving direction during probation period. ▪ 90% of Gen Z want to work in innovative companies emphasizing development and learning. ▪ 3 questions we should ask ourselves: Who am I? Where am I heading? How do I get there? ▪ Employee experience: pre-pandemic organizations were pretty settled. After the current COVID and polycrisis, the only constant is change. ▪ Offline, we build; online, we maintain. A big shout-out to the fantastic organizers, Crina Ciocian and Carmen Ciocian, for putting together such an amazing event! 👏 We sincerely appreciate your valuable feedback and the enthusiastic interest you've shown in our platform.
