Career & hiring partner for kindred spirits in the fascinating world of Marketing, Digital, PR & Social & Creative.
Dusk till dawn, playing football as a kid was ace, and the bit I loved the most - playing with people from all different backgrounds & abilities, but once that ball was kicked, there was a magic that happened - a telepathic ability to pull together, to play well, and with a bit of luck, win. I can remember one team, where some players didn’t speak English as their first language, but it would not take long before we’d all gelled, and it was a mega way to break down barriers and bring people together. They even got to grips with our dry sense of humour, and without a ball between us, none of this would have happened. In any walk of life, once you bring people together, with a common aim, or objective, and people put aside their differences, it is amazing what can be achieved. What’s even better, is that shared experience of putting people together, for a common objective, and achieving it, can create friendships that last a lifetime. I’ve also seen this in some of the businesses I’ve worked with, where you’ve got a real mixed pot of people, all ages, and from different cultural backgrounds, and it just works, wonderfully. They don't hire on a like for like basis - it's more on appreciating the subtle differences between us. If that's your jam, do check out our latest in-house brand focused role with a FMCG business on the outskirts of Manchester - ideal role for a '23 or 24' marketing grad with a year or so experience - one of those roles where attitude outweighs wads of experience.

To Zoom or not to Zoom...candidates? For me, placing candidates within the event industry differs from other industries. So much of what we do within events is sell, build relationships, build rapport, share our smiles to create instant warmth, and show that we are listening and interested. I want to see that! Not only am I placing a candidate for their experience, I am also placing them into a company brand. Seeing them helps me get to know who they are. It has to be a good fit all around! Because of that, I Zoom or Teams with all of my candidates. I want to see what makes you light up when I ask questions. I want to see your shine, your glow, and what makes you you. Lean in, smile, and have fun! Your smile is your logo; share your brand! #recuiter #hospitalityindustry #hospitalityjobs #shannonconnexrecruiting

I assist corporate sustainability leaders to deepen spiritual skills for maximum corporate and social success.
Teams are praised and built with care and consideration in sports but is it the same in business and organizations? When you apply for a job or hire a person, do you consider how well they will fit in the team? Or do you just look at their talents, experience, and references only? How can you determine if a new hire or new job will be with a compatible team? If you’re doing the hiring, the better you know your team, the easier it will be for you to hire people who will complement the team. How do you know your team members, by listening to their stories. If you’re looking for a job, the clearer you are of your personal power and your power story, the more easily you can ask questions about the team for which you’re applying. So how are you building an enthusiastic team?

Let's keep it real simple on a Friday.... If I'm building a Championship team from scratch... This is the proven formula...👇 Same formula I used hiring a babysitter, landscaper, and virtual assistant. Just swap processes accordingly..... 1. Talent - Extraordinary accomplishments from High School to today. 2. Extraordinary ability within the sales process 2b. Extraordinary awareness on the weak spot in the sales process 3. A Cultural fit...aka what kind of teammate will they be and how accountable are they? That's the $200M, simple formula....at least. 😘 Be ready to go deep. I'm talking to the hiring manager as much as the candidate. Just be ready. 👊 I post every M-F at 8:15a EST Click the 🔔 on my profile page to follow along 💥 Book an Appointment to get ready #future #hiring #careers #medicaldevicesales #sales #jobinterviews #hiringandpromotion #bestadvice #culture #leadership
