This was a surreal and fulfilling day. The first wave of Internet and media coming together. That amount seems so small by today's standards. Our IPO was more like a pre-seed would be in 2024!
25th Anniversary of our Liquid Audio IPO. Gerry Kearby (RIP), Phil Wiser and Robert Flynn founders.
Very fond memories of the hot basement in Redwood City ripping CDs…while simultaneously using Napster on the only T1 line any of us had access to!
those were good times - for those of us on the bleeding edge; you guys were one of the first success stories in the space!! 😍
Congratulations! My Dad went to University of Maryland. Put himself through school playing trumpet. Was an audiophile. Put his own stereo equipment together. Back in the day I had modest but decent equipment. As a single Mom with an autistic son, my days of expensive audio equipment are over. But I have tons of carefully selected (edited I hate AI) vinyl and CDs. Thoughts on a decent good enough system? Not looking for handout. Just advice. Miss my classical. Went to IU in Bloomington. Ballet, Voice, Piano. Just for love. Opera aficionado.
It was certainly a day full of thrills, so much fun to see how high the price went up, and then the crash. If my memory serves me, I think the stock hit beyond $37/share?
So many great memories of our Liquid Audio days. Proud to be a part of the digital music revolution ✊
Those were terrific days in a pretty remarkable space. You guys were pioneers and this was an amazing accomplishment.
Proud to be part of Internet music history.
What a day…. I think there was a party on the beach to celebrate?

2wThinking of Liquid Audio makes me think I peaked early. What a great time that was.
