How about Swiggy using unique different sounds for each of the notifications? Be it Instamart or food delivery. I usually get 4 notifications for Instamart from them of an order. They are as follows- 1️⃣Order confirmation 2️⃣Order pickup 3️⃣Order arriving at your location 4️⃣Order delivered For food delivery they stand as follows - 1️⃣Order confirmation 2️⃣Rider partner getting assigned 3️⃣ Rider partner reaching the restaurant 4️⃣Order pickup by partner 5️⃣Order arriving at your location 6️⃣Order delivered I won't always be in a position to see notifications but to make me aware, they can use different set of sounds for each of these notifications so that even without looking at the screen I know what is the status of my order. The easier they make it for the users, the more they will feel delighted and more chances of extensive repeat purchases. What are your thoughts? Product Observation: Swiggy Instamart Currently on Swiggy Instamart, if you order groceries you can not give feedback on the items delivered or even on the delivery experience. Comparatively, Blinkit allows you to rate your delivery experience and items ordered. Swiggy Instamart, however, does allow you to mention if you have received the order or not, which is too little as compared to the competition. #Productobservation #Swiggy

Nostalgia hits hard when I think about the convenience of Blinkit, Swiggy back in India – a mere 10 minutes and our essentials or favorite meals would be waiting at our doorstep, like magic! 🚚💨 But here in the USA, it's a different story. Ordering from Instacart, Wee, or Walmart means waiting a whole day for our groceries, and it feels like an eternity! 😩 The contrast is stark, and it makes me reflect on the pace of life and consumer culture in different parts of the world. Back home, we're accustomed to the hustle and bustle, the instant gratification that comes with a few taps on our phones. But here, there's a slower rhythm, a sense of patience that we're forced to embrace. Yet, amidst the longing for the swift deliveries of home, there's a silver lining. This wait teaches us patience – a virtue often overlooked in today's fast-paced world. It encourages us to plan ahead, to savor the anticipation of receiving our goods, and to appreciate the value of time in a new light. So, while I may miss the convenience of Blinkit, Swiggy, I'm learning to find joy in the waiting game. After all, good things come to those who wait, even if it's just a cart full of groceries. I had the pleasure of presenting our research on ridehailing systems at Swiggy today. I also included some thoughts on how recent results on ridehailing systems can be used for optimizing the costs in the quick-commerce business, which has seen tremendous growth in the past three years and is expected to grow exponentially into the future. I am sure some of the techniques we developed would be useful in improving the efficiency in this sector. While waiting at a red light, I noticed a Swiggy delivery rider maneuvering through the tiniest space to get to the front of the line. It wasn't a reckless act or an attempt to jump the red light. Instead, it was a strategic move to ensure they were at the head of the queue when the light turned green, all to make those on-time deliveries that we love and rely on. Here's the thing: I'm not entirely sure whether Swiggy imposes late charges on these delivery heroes. But from my perspective, they shouldn't if they do. They're going above and beyond to ensure our orders reach us promptly, even if it means risking life and limb in the urban jungle. To all the food enthusiasts out there, here's a small way we can show our appreciation: add a generous tip to your orders whenever possible. And if that's not feasible, a 5-star rating goes a long way in recognizing their dedication and passion for delivering our favorite meals right to our doorsteps. Interesting cross-promotion strategy adopted by Swiggy. You place a food order on Swiggy they cross-promote Instamart by offering a product free(the customer has to choose one among 3) on the next Instamart order. The customer places an Instamart order, Products that you order arrive, but the free product doesn't. Support informs that it was an offer till stock last, & the stocks are over, since it was a free product it can not be replaced, compensated or provided at a later date as it has a time-bound limitation as well. Now, as a customer, I do not know the stock situation but I see it as a brilliant marketing strategy to coax or convert users to sample their Instamart experience without having to incur the expense of delivering a free product. Also, claim the free offer kept blinking until I placed my Instamart order. Has this happened to anyone else?
