A drone angle ... live ... with a shot tracer. 🤯😍 As we continue to enhance our club and ball tracking technology, this new element debuted today during the Travelers Championship telecast on CBS. We are constantly striving to improve the viewing experience for fans through technology and innovation, and this new feature is another step in the right direction.
It's decent, but it's hardly groundbreaking. LIV has been doing this for quite some time. This isn't the only technology that the PGA have been late adopters for either.
This isn't new... LIV have been doing this for a year or so...
Would love to see color coded tracking such as a green tracker showing the shot is on its intended line or going to hit the green, a yellow tracker is it's offline or missing the fairway or green and a red line if it's a very bad shot or a type of shank. I think it would show well on TV and watchers will get a better understanding of the ball flight and how good or not good it us.
Love it. Especially when the drone shows the best players in the world hit one like the rest of us from time to time. PGA...show more of the bad shots. It will make people that don't play the game more inclined to try it if they don't think that everybody always hits it perfectly.
Can they use to track my luggage at the airport?
This is a big step ahead of that in terms of shot tracking: https://youtu.be/XtpHsXxgku8

1wIf anyone at PGA Tour reads this, I have some innovated thoughts pertaining to fan perspective that I'd love to share with you. I have the examples all ready to go but just don't know who to send them to, and discuss them with. I've tried reaching out to ESPN and PGA broadcasters, but have never heard anything back. Maybe give me a chance to explain?
