Katty argues that women's inherent qualities, such as empathy, collaboration, and emotional intelligence, are assets that can revolutionize the way we approach leadership. 👉️ We need to rethink power on a grander scale. I’ve been passionate about the U.S. presidency for as long as I can remember, especially what the careers and lives of these influential leaders can teach us about finding purpose on our own journeys. On the latest episode of Adam Grant's “Re:Thinking” podcast, he and I delve into the post-presidencies of the seven presidents I write about in my new book “Life After Power” and discuss how they rediscovered their raison d'etre after office. While each of them pursued life after power in very different ways, their journeys can offer us unique lessons as we inevitably reach those inflection points in our own lives and have to navigate what the next chapter looks like. Maybe the answer to that question is the same you had when you started, if that's so...easy, you continue doing your job with more conviction probably. If you doubt...take a deep look inside you and find that answer...it can be different to the first one but if it still fulfills you, you are still motivated and you are where you should be. If that checking doesn't give you a convincing answer, maybe it's time to start looking for something else to do to earn money. We need motivated people to do a good job, and motivation comes first from inside.
