We commend the United Nations Foundation's Universal Access Project (UAP) for their call to action for companies to create tangible, timebound commitments to #womenshealth and #genderequity in the workplace. A reminder that women's health is human health, and a health gap that exists anywhere is harmful to everyone. Companies have a responsibility to address this gap as it will not only help women lead healthier, happier lives, but also better support the global economy. Deloitte's Women At Work global report reminds us of the importance of bio-individuality. This is especially important for women in the workplace who don't feel supported in certain areas of their health and safety, as it pertains to their employee benefits. When it comes to #WomensHealth, the survey stresses that they are concerned about three key aspects: their mental health, health issues related to fertility, menstruation, and menopause, and safety concerns when traveling. As employers, improving these support systems could help with employee loyalty, retention, and productivity. Plus, improving employee health benefits for women will subsequently improve health benefits for all other employees. This #Pride month, Progyny, Inc. surveyed over 1,000 #LGBTQ+ individuals planning to build their families. What we found was that this community deeply values #FertilityBenefits, as they are often stressed by the financial barriers they face when starting a family. Building a family without employer support can be expensive and unaffordable for most people, so it stands to reason that these individuals intentionally seek out jobs at companies with fertility and family building benefits to help offset these costs. This provides companies with a clear call to action: providing meaningful benefits for all stages of life, including family building, can help retain employees, increase workforce loyalty, and ultimately ensure these individuals feel supported on their journeys.

Last night, I received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by EY. I'm a bit speechless and in awe! I'm incredibly honored to be among such great business leaders who are driving innovation and shaping the future. I want to thank EY for such an amazing recognition. It shows solidarity in Progyny's mission to improve access to women's health, which is often an area that is underserved. This award is a true reflection of the hardworking Progyny, Inc. team members, partners, and clients who play an invaluable role in growing the organization. One of my biggest accomplishments in life is being a dad. I’m fortunate enough to have three amazing children and I've had the privilege of watching them grow into beautiful, smart, and accomplished young adults. It’s my hope as a leader of a company that is expanding access to #fertility and #familybuilding care that anyone who wants to can also experience this growth and joy. A huge thank you to my family who inspires me every day and reminds me of why we do what we do. For those struggling with this day - to the individuals and couples struggling with infertility, those who have lost children, and those who want to be fathers but face obstacles - I see you.
