Fell in love with the pup at the rock show! It looks like blink-182 got some guest band members during their tour kickoff at The Kia Center last week! It turns out that puppies aren't very good at playing guitar, but they still had a ton of fun hanging out with this awesome crew. A few of these "small things" are still available for adoption at our Sanford shelter, but we know it's only a matter of time before they get carried home!

It's Volunteer Appreciation Week! Did you know that in 2023, our volunteers committed more than 80,000 hours to our pets? We'd like to take a moment to thank our Kitty Cuddlers, Bark Buddies, Community Cat trappers, Event Assistants, and Fosters for being the backbone of our organization. Our ability to shelter, heal, and place more than 4,000 cats and dogs a year would be completely impossible without you!

#NationalPuppyDay came early for us last week! 🐶✈️ We received a special delivery of 10 puppies, who were flown by private plane from Georgia to Central Florida after a foster could not be found for them in the area where they were born. Pet Alliance staff members were stationed and ready to receive the pups right on the tarmac! Since the puppies had lived outside for their entire 4 weeks of life with no medical care, they were immediately brought to our veterinary team for a check-up. Aside from some easily treatable parasites that are found in many young cats and dogs who come from the great outdoors, these little ones were in great health. With that, the seven girls and three boys, who were all given names of bird species, were sent into foster care to learn and grow until they're ready for adoption.
