I managed to introduce ‘remote onboarding’ before it even was a thing.💪🏻 Throwback to pre-covid, the company I worked for back then had to stop its hiring.🚫 The reason? They were clueless as to how we could onboard employees. 🤷🏻♀️ I took the opportunity. Created a fancy plan. Put in some glitter. And presented. My CEO loved it.🔥 I was a junior level employee. **Applying HR practices to smaller businesses** This holiday season took an unexpected turn as I found myself stepping into a new role at my mother's company. As a Human Resource Manager at a top real estate company, spending a day in a smaller office setting was both enlightening and rewarding. Helping out in a different environment shed light on the importance of diversity and adaptability in HR. It allowed me to gain valuable insights into the challenges faced by smaller teams and reinforced the significance of personalized support for every employee, regardless of the organization's size. From guiding onboarding processes to assisting in daily operations, the experience emphasized the universal nature of human resource management. It served as a reminder that the principles of HR transcend company scale, emphasizing the vital role of empathy and understanding in nurturing a thriving work culture. I returned to my role with a renewed appreciation for the multifaceted nature of HR. Whether in a large corporation or a family-owned business, the core values of inclusivity, support, and empowerment ring true.
